Personality: Melchior is a little bit peculiar, and has a highly inappropriate sense of humour. He is always very honest and loyal, as he disapproves of lying without an excellent reason. He tends to be loud, and loves to make people laugh, but he can also be rather awkward, and is bad with crowds until he gets used to the people in them. He has a bad habit of speaking in chatspeak and saying emoticons (i.e. sadface, "lol").
Appearance: While not the tallest guy around, Melchior appears gangly because of his low weight. He is rather skinny, and could definitely use a little sun. He has fair, messy, ashy hair with a fringe that reaches his eyebrows, and grey-blue eyes. His face is slim, so he has been mistaken for a girl when he has not shaved for a while, despite having a strong jawline. Generally, his wardrobe consists of graphic tees and baggy blue jeans, although he varies in dress depending on how classy/casual an outing is. (A picture is on the way)

Powers: - Fluidity: Melchior's power is peculiar, but is most closely related to the superpower of elasticity. However, Melchior's body is not capable of stretching or deforming to the extent of someone like Mr. Fantastic, for example. Instead, he is capable of absorbing and deflecting physical force, and becoming semi-liquid, allowing him to pass through tight spaces (eg, keyholes).
- Superhuman Speed: Melchior is capable of moving much faster than any normal human, and can reach speeds of 125 mph when running.
- Superhuman Reaction Time/Motor Skills: His reaction time and motor skills are also beyond those of a normal human, so he often finds himself having to slow things down to look like an average joe.
Origin of Powers: Latent genetic mutation.
Relatives: His parents, and a younger sister named Eliza.
Biography: Melchior's great-grandparents came to the United States from Ukraine shortly before the second World War, and his family has lived in New York City ever since. Despite the change in times, his family has changed very little, aside from the addition of a few new family members. Mel's parents are devout Jews, and while he still has some semblance of faith in God, he is closer to being an agnostic. In any case, his childhood was largely uneventful, although he did well in school and made a great deal of friends. It was his high school years when he began maturing (somewhat), and decided that becoming an artist was something of great interest to him. His life goal is to have some of his works displayed in the MoMA.

Once Mel hit university and started pursuing his art degree, he moved out of his parents' house and acquired an apartment close to NYU. However, he did not stay in the apartment for long, as he soon moved in with a boy named Christopher, whom he had met on campus. His parents learned very quickly that the young men were more than just roommates, and while they were not pleased with their son's decisions, they supported him. Melchior sometimes jokes that his mother is only disapproving because Christopher is not Jewish.

Mel discovered his mutation when another man at a pub attempted to pick a fight with him. When he tried to sucker punch Melchior, the blow deflected off his face and Mel's assailant went to the hospital after breaking a few knuckles on the bar. Once Mel realized he was a mutant, he began testing his limits in secret, informing neither his parents nor his boyfriend. He has secretly chosen the moniker "Reflex" because of the ability in Final Fantasy which prevents physical damage being dealt to a character.
