	I want to go next summer...so like summer of 2011 when im 18 to japan! I dont want to go unprepared so Im trying to learn the language and culture and find out everything I can to make my stay there as pleasant as possible..I want it to be a dream come true since it really is! Thats why Im looking for a friend in Japan! I might have found one too! >///< Wouldnt you guys like to have a penpal in japan?

	I probably can go anytime but I don't feel comfortable not knowing the language and not having anyone to go with so I'm probably going to take a few classes and study Japanese for a year in University biggrin Have fun in japan when your there.

	I have one, but it's honestly frustrating sometimes. We're both learning each other's languages, so I sit there wondering if I offended him, and he is literally flipping pages trying to find something to say to me. xDD If you have a friend from Japan, ask if they knew anyone who'd like to have a penpal~ (That's how I got mine, lol!) American culture is HUGE in Japan, and many boys would kill to meet an American girl, and same with the girls in Japan. (This is what creates grumpy old Japanese men! Interracial marriage is growing more and more~)

Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Filipino, even Hawaiian & Chamoro, etc etc. I lived on an old Japanese island for about two years, so if I can tell the difference, they should be able to also. @glassssscandy;; it's not a huge difference, lol, but there is some. To us, it's offending to be grouped together.

D; あ！　ありがとう～ Actually, if you look on those international forums (in forums) most the Japanese speaking threads are filled with fluent speakers, mainly in or from Japan. ;D But I'm sure you could find some friendly people locally~ and a lot of sites online are dedicated to locating pen-pals! And if that sounds a bit much, you can always open a thread in the international forums asking around for Japanese pen-pals! You wouldn't be the first one, so I'm sure someone would show! (りきちゃんのｌｕｒｋｅｒ．．ね？）

	how nice they want americans and we want japanese XD perfect match! anywaaaayyy riki is right about the international forum, thats how I found my penpal! @riki your probably right but so far I can tell the difference... XP I understand how it's offending to be grouped together even though your cultures are totally different!
