I want to play Soul Silver so badly. I'm planning on spending hundreds of dollars to get a DS as well as a copy sometime soon. biggrin

Heart gold you get to capture Ho-oh. Are your friends Ho-oh/fire-type fans? That might be why. In soul silver (the one I prefer), you get a chance to capture Lugia. I like Lugia better. I am not into Pokemon anymore, that is because I discovered the joys of anime on youtube when you have a laptop. ^.^ I don't own either, but i don't really care. I just discuss Pokemon with my friend occasionally. >.< whatever.

Um... did you guys know that you can actually capture both Ho-oh and Lugia in the games? I'm not sure in the newer versions of Gold and Silver but I know so in the older ones.

I believe you can get both.
I got SS because I prefer Lugia and that's what the game is named after. <3
