Really random thinking... lol
here's the story -
I'm in the market place on gaia trying to sell stuff and at the part where it asks for your password I re read the 2% closing fee cost and it came to me... how much gold does gaia get back everyday from items being sold on the market? It's gotta be more then they get from the shops too, at least in my opinion... I was wondering if there was any way of calculating the amounts, and since I'm not good with numbers I just stopped there ha ha...

how many of you were on gaia before the 2% closing fee was added or do you remember when it was added? How did you feel about it if you do remember? lol

I actually just joined I think, a year and a half ago.
I actually don't mind the 2% closing fee.
I never actually sell much on the market any more, so it doesn't bother me. If I sell stuff it's through trading, so there isn't any gold loss. But that's just me. And to do that takes time, and advertising, whereas the MP is fast and easy, but you lose a little bit of gold everytime you sell something.

I've been on gaia for nearly 3 year *Feels so not Newbish*
so I remember the anouncement, I didn't mind at first because I didn't sell much but now that I'm selling EXPECIVE items its kinda ticking me off but we can't change gaia very easily....

I hated it when it came out. It killed my profit income for weeks. I'm doing better now, but it was a real adjustment for my marketing strategy.

When it came I didn't really mind, it ticked me off but I never really sold much but now that I'm selling I'm not caring because I don't really think about it. Only when I'm selling things worth 200k and up does it start to affect things.

I hate the 2% fee. I wish it was back in the old days. All you had to do is pay 1,000 gold and you can open up a store and keep all the money you make from selling.
