Basically, the whole long-and-short of this thread is: taking a bunch of various elements in D&D (such as a monster, a template, or a weapon) and putting it into a blender to see what we come up with! Of course, this thread isn't reserved for me alone. Feel free to put together anything you can come up with that still has some believability.

Example A: Great Armor Dread Guard armed with a Katana. A dread guard, for those who don't know, is an animated suit of Masterwork Heavy Armor armed with a martial weapon. This particular dread guard is made from Great Armor, or o-yoroi from the Oriental Adventures book, giving it a +7 armor bonus to resist being hit. It is armed with a Katana, A.K.A a masterwork b*****d sword, wielded in two hands as a martial weapon.

Example B: Jade/Bronzewood Two-bladed sword. Bronzewood is essentially the same as the druid's Ironwood spell, giving it the properties of metal while allowing those of nature to use it. It can replace metal in most weapons, but you can't make chain weapons or chain-mail/ Ring Armor from it. Jade is another item presented in Oriental Adventures. It bypasses Damage Reduction of Oni, as well as prevents the damage from healing, but it is softer than the metal used in normal swords, taking a -1 penalty on attack rolls and a -2 penalty on attack rolls. It's treated as Ghost Touch, even in areas where magic doesn't work, but incorporeal creatures can't use it. It grants the wielder a +4 sacred bonus to resist Taint (if you use that variant.)
