I'm so sick of them. Now the progressives are trying to ban circumcisions entirely from I forget what state. (Not that the state itself actually matters.) ...and any parent that decides to get their child circumcised faces up to 14 years in jail. WTF? Oh yeah, they're SO tolerant of religion. rolleyes
It's okay to persecute Christians and Jewish people, but definitely not Muslims or atheists.
Uggh.... Those pushy bastards (excuse my french, I'm heated.) act like they're so high and mighty because they've got no religion. It's quite hypocritical actually. They've managed to make a religion out of hating religion. Religion is defined as habit of life, and by going out of their way to talk down to people kind of makes it a habit of their life don'tcha think? xd A person who I THOUGH was my friend decided to talk down to me because I have faith today. Ick. I'm tired of people acting like they're better then someone else because they don't believe in anything. I used to be an atheist, but I never went out of my way to talk down to someone because they believe in God. It's sickening Nazi stuff.
Ugghhh... Mkay, rant over.

For doing a required act in Judaism? 14 YEARS?! It angers me so much to see either Christians or Jews get persecuted. scream It angers me almost as much that a lot of Jews are liberals. *is a Jew* I've had that happen before too, it's highly annoying. Sounds like you were the kind of atheist I don't mind. The others are worse than even the most fanatical, preachy Christian (not meant to offend anyone, just intended to show the irony). It's almost like they're trying to convince themselves of G-d's nonexistence. lol

I disagree with persecuting any religion, not just Christian and Jewish. I don't know who came up with the idea of no circumsion but technically that would be against the Consititution and they would have to get a whole new amendment made which wouldn't happen. Federal is more powerful than state.

Actually, think of it as a good thing--you can help right their wrongs. :] Oh, that's actually completely different; I think most teens are like that. XD I agree completely. How can something so complex, so beautiful, just come to be without any higher being's involvement? Did you ever notice how there are always gaps in theories that try to explain how the world came about? All the theories start off assuming one thing or another already existed. How did that come into being? Actually, this reminds me of a story I was told when I was a child... *searches* Found it! A non-believer came to a rabbi and asked him to prove the existence of G-d. The rabbi instructed him to come back the next day for the answer to his question. The non-believer felt thrilled to have seemingly "stumped" the rabbi. When he came back the next day he excitedly demanded the answer from the learned man. The rabbi replied that he would give his answer momentarily, but before he did he wanted his questioner to read a beautiful poem he had on his desk.
The non-believer read the work and was inspired by the lovely images described within the poem and asked the rabbi who the author was. The rabbi explained that there was no author. What had happened was that while deep in thought pondering the profound question he had been asked the rabbi had accidentally knocked over the ink well on his desk onto a blank piece of paper and this poem was what the spill had produced. The non-believer scoffed at the ridiculous notion that something as wonderful as that poem could be the result of an accident.
At that point the rabbi explained that if something as simple as a poem could not be created by accident or without an author then certainly something as wonderfully complex as our world could not come into being without an Author.
The skeptic was skeptical no more.-found here. shadowflameguardian I disagree with persecuting any religion, not just Christian and Jewish. Its right in the Establishment Clause of the Constitution. The Government shall not establish any religion over another. By doing that, they are essentially violating the constitution.
