Well I figured I'd start a little thread. To get started I'm 23 and live in Northern California with my husband and four cats. I'm a gamer, geek, and love making things. Right now I'm studying Child Development and have been in school far too long and looking into becoming a midwife's apprentice. When I'm not working or at school I spend far too much time either on the XBox or playing DnD and Magic. I also love to knit and am currently working on my first pair of socks.
On the relationship side of things my husband and I have been together for the last five years, and though we refer to each other as husband and wife we haven't had a legal ceremony yet due to financial issues, but had a beautiful commitment ceremony four years ago. We have been poly for nearly as long as we have been together.

So for the last several weeks I've been crushing on a friend of mine. Since I'm one to just go with it and see what develops I had no intention of reveling this information to her. In an attempt to help my husband has been talking with her about how much I like her and she hadn't said anything for several days but tonight decided that she liked me too much as a friend and then went on how poly can't work in her experience. So that sucks.
