I like Star Wars better especially the books New Jedi order series and beyond Leia and Han's twins Jaina and Jacen and youngest Anakin. Luke and Mara Jade have a son Ben I like how the story unfolds in these book the writing is a hell of a lot better than what George Lucas can do But Star Trek is cool too I just like Star Wars a bit more.

I like Star Trek better. Then again, I have just gotten into the Star Trek universe so it's still all shiny and new... Unlike the book I just finished reading, which was from a used bookstore. It was an awesome $6 book, though! =D Spock is pretty much awesome.
But... Star Wars is all well and good, but numbers 1-3... While visually better than 4-6, I still prefer the originals. I also had to write an essay about The Empire Strikes Back this past week, so if I get a bad grade I'll be mad at Star Wars for a while lol

This argument has been so interesting to me for a long time. I can't say which one is better because I like them both, equally. I can say that I know a lot more about Star Trek than I do Star Wars, but they are both equally awesome.

I'm hands down a Star Wars nerdfangeekdudeman. Star Wars is so well put together... It's not just a series of movies, it's an epic. I don't really have any argument against Star Trek, other than I don't like it as much as Star Wars. I saw Star Trek first, but still... *shrug* Sorry I don't have more to bring to the table. I can quote Star Wars and talk about it all day long, but I can't really argue why I like it better... I just do. xd

Hmm that's a hard one. I would have to say that I liked Star Wars more. I enjoyed all the movies, where as with Star Trek I really only liked TNG. I didn't care for any of the others. However I REALLY liked TNG... like a lot! So just that there almost balances everything out.

With the movies, I would say that I like Star Wars more, but the star trek universe is so big that it opened the gateways for more great ideas for books. So in a way both are equally great in their own right.

I would have to say Star Trek is better. >> In my opinion, anyway. While it's true that I've only recently discovered the wonder that is Star Trek, I've found that I enjoy it rather more than I ever enjoyed Star Wars.
I've watched almost all of The Original Series, and fangirl'd pretty much the whole time, which is more than I can say for my watching of Star Wars. True, it's not as action-packed, per say, but the characterization in Star Trek makes me geek out far more than the explosions in Star Wars did. You really can't get much better than the BAMF trio (Kirk, Spock, and McCoy, for anyone who's watched TOS). Also, I really, -really- disliked the newer three Star Wars movies. And the new Star Trek movie was made of awesome and win, so you know, there's that.
Plus Gene Roddenberry was way less creeptacular than George Lucas. Just saying. xD
But yeah, to sum up: while Star Wars is awesome in it's own right, I like Star Trek a lot better.

Is BAMF trio like, an official Star Trek TOS fan term? Just sayin', I've heard it so much since I started looking at TOS xp Spock's World is a pretty cool book, btw.

...but... that's like saying "is ham or turkey better?" It all depends on my mood!
So... um... yes?

They aren't comparable.
Star trek has a focus on how space exploration affects us and later other races around is.
Star wars has a focus on how forces of good and evil can tear the very fabric of space apart given enough time.

I can`t compare them; I believe they are both great for various reasons.
I love both whee
Although I was only introduced to the Star Trek universe recently (comparing to Star Wars which I watched when I was little).

That's like asking if I want my genitals gently massaged by a hot girl or gently licked by a hot girl. Both are equally awesome.
