Contests once in a while. Like an obscure Japanese place w/ clues. Or avi dressup contest to look like certain characters from Japanese manga, movies or etc. Maybe a caveat will have to be that to enter a particular contest you have to have at least 50 in-guild posts (that way threads are being generated) and people who are in the guild for a particular reason will make an effort to post readable-worthy stuff to participate in contests and all.
