I'd reccomend this book to most fantasy fans. It has likeable characters of varying ages in a classic-style setting. It deals with the idea of magical/non-magical people, and people of differing social classes, being beneficial or malignant depending on which side you're on. cool

Rothen, the kindly mentor, is probably my favourite character, but I love Dannyl (one of Rothen's students) and Cery, the young spy from the slums, too. 4laugh

I plan to read the rest of trilogy soon! xd
