I know this is all about how to lolita stuff. But in my opinion, lolita is more than just clothes. Taking care of your body is important too! So on my quest for happy skin, I found this!
I'm sure things like this have been spammed all over, but I really like this one.
So for really good sugary scrubs, mix 1/2 cup of water and 1/2 cup of olive oil with enough sugar to make it pasty. I think I used 2 1/2 cups to 3. And then add some sort of natural fragrance to it if you want. I used lavender and it smells really soft and sweet and feminine in my opinion.
Whheee o___o

Sugar as body scrub? Wouldn't that make you all sticky-like?

@ ren - surprisingly, no! The sugar rubs away dead skin and the oil keeps it nice and soft. And lavender is very relaxing, so I put that in as a scent.
Definitely good for princess days. And very cheap. Much cheaper and better than store bought stuff i've used.

Haha well I won't lie and say I didn't taste it before I put oils in it. It's pure sugar. xD

That sounds good, but one would not use it on the face, right?

Well I used a small small amount on my face and it actually felt pretty nice. Not as nice as the rest of me, though.
But if you're going for a natural face thing I would recommend an egg facial once or twice a week. xD I love love LOVE it. Just got done actually. *spam*

I use mayonnaise for my hair...
I use dawn soap or men's bodywash to strip out the oils, because I'm pretty much an emu. You could scrape me and sell that stuff like gladiators did. O__o; My natural oils keep my super processed hair healthy, but after a while it builds up, gets really heavy, and nothing short of dish soap can remove it. Most shampoos and conditioners just build up on it. But dish soap or men's bodywash is harsh, so I have to deep condition, and sometimes use mayo, then rinse with garnier fructise.
Also, mayo has vinegar, which keeps my color bright and deep. I use Manic Panic hair dye, they recommended the vinegar.

Haha I'm full of this kinda stuff!
On the subject of hair's natural oils: Most shampoos contain nothing but chemicals that will strip the hair of any dyes or unnatural colours. I have pink hair. But even shampoo specifically for dyed hair will strip colors out like pink or blue - I believe that is what they're designed to do. And conditioner is a big time poser. It's job is to mimic hair in it's own happy oil. And most of the time, they're only doing just that; Posing, not moisturizing. DX
So the solution: Baking soda. :3 If you wash your hair with baking soda, it only removes just enough oil, not too much. So your hair is happily conditioned, naturally. It's also very good for unnatural (PINK!) colours, because it obviously lacks the chemicals that strip hair colour. DX
combine it with a cold water rinse, and you're all set. x3 I am a commercial >:3
