Races: All are allowed. (We will be using Pathfinder Monstrous Race rules and you are only allowed to be something up to CR 5. No Minotaurs will be allowed).

I'm sorry if this is a stupid question, but since I've yet to play a Pathfinder game allowing Monstrous Races, I have to ask...

How does the Pathfinder rules differ from DnD for Monstrous Races? Lets say that I want to play a Psuedodragon, which is a CR 1/Lvl Adjust +3, how would that work out? Would I have to take racial progression levels?

No. The Pathfinder rules for monstrous PCs (unless there's an errata out, but I tend to follow printed text in a book over some hasty patches anyways) is that you use CR to determine its effective character level. The example they give is a Minotaur, which is CR 4. So let's say a Minotaur Barbarian 1 wants to go adventuring? Then it'd join a party of level 5 characters. It would gain a level every time the normal PCs gain 3 levels for an amount of times equal to its total CR at the beginning cut in half and rounded down.

So the Minotaur Barbarian 1 (CR 5) would go through this process twice. It becomes a Barbarian 2 when the party gain their 8th level and then becomes Barbarian 3 when they're 11. After that point it levels normally.

Edit: Of course, in the case for this game, the leveling process doesn't occur for any monstrous characters until after the point a normal PC would have reached their CR in levels and then gains a further 3 levels.

Okay, I think I got it. I don't play many games that go with level-buy off or whatnot much, so I got confused. But just in case, I'm going to double-check myself with my understanding....

Lets say that I want to play as a Psuedodragon Dragon Shaman. A Psuedodragon has a CR of 1, so I would start with a CR of 2 (CR 1+ 1 level)? Then I would have to wait for the party to reach 4th, 7th level before taking a 2nd and 3rd level of Dragon Shaman?

Not to mention all of the variants of elements, planar, and world-specific elves from each and every splat book.

Drow would do pretty well here. I wouldn't wager we'll encounter much daylight. It is, after all, the World's Largest Dungeon.

Ahh... my bad, and thank you for clarifying.

Hmm... Not sure if I want to play Psuedodragon. Might go for the Dragonkin from Draconomicon (CR 3) so that I can be of more assistance both during and after battle.

Yes reev is correct.
3.5 elves:
Standard elf is a High Elf, which typically are aloof and pompous.
A Wood Elf gains everything standard ones do and an additional +2 Str. and -2 Int. Which tend to be more crude and muscular.

I guess this point is moot because I am totally making a Sorcerer. ^_^

Sorry I have so may questions just wanted to be sure. When you say Flaws and Traits allowed you mean the ones from Unearthed Arcana correct?

And could I use spells from the Spell Compendium?

Always. But hurry up, we're only waiting on...3 or so sheets to start and they're all finished, just need to fix a few things or read a few things over.
