Year long goals? (first one isn't exactly a fitness goal)
- Stick to my gym goals and watching what I eat. ( I did use Weight Watchers for a while, and lost five kilos (11-ish pounds) in one week (which should have been a warning in itself), but I was always thinking about food and points, even when I wasn’t eating, it was effecting my school work and this year was my most important of all, seeing as it was my last one. I know what I need to function properly and feel content, I just don’t have much restraint, so that will be my biggest challenge this coming year, but I know I can do it, and I do like some of the Weight Watcher’s recipes and tips, I just don’t be adhering strictly to the points system, it doesn’t suit me, just eating more sensibly, I suppose.)
- get down to at least 79 kilos (I’m at 85-86 right now) , though, the healthiest for my height and build would be at 74-75. - get my fitness up so I can run properly for longer than one to two minutes xD
- I’m pretty tank, so maintain that.
- measure myself monthly, because due to weight training, I don’t always see results in the form of a weight shift, even though my clothes fit better and people comment that I look like I’ve lost weight, when the scales don’t say so, I gorge.... great way to go about things – eh? xD
- go swimming more often and go to a few fitness classes to get the best out of my gym membership (seeing as I don’t pay for it (it was a gift from my parents), I don’t want to waste their money each month any longer – I just need to convince someone to come with me, because that’s the only reason I don’t go, I’m too shy to go to a class alone.)
- play squash, either on my own or with a friend once or twice a week when my mum goes (she's a competitive player, so I can use the courts when she's training/playing a match without a booking).

JuniorFirefighter61 100 push-ups 100 sit-ups 7 minute miles 12 minute mile 1 1/2 100 Flutter kicks I am wanting to become a PJ later in my life when I join the USAF, does anyone have any tips to reach my goals? Here is my current numbers in that order 15 35 ? ? ? I've been on something called a Gazelle, for an hour each day. Breakfast: Oatmeal Lunch: Sandwich Dinner: Anything please help, i need to lose this weight to join the usaf I don't know what a Gazelle is but it sounds like a machine. In very general terms, machines just plain suck. You're better off doing free weights and plyometrics (Google it if necessary).
How often are you exercising? Ideally, exercise every other day and it HAS to be HARDCORE. No pansy low numbers where you can do 15 reps without breaking a sweat. 15 push-ups is not much. You're free to join us in this challenge even though it's ending pretty soon: http://www.gaiaonline.com/guilds/viewtopic.php?t=18048171
On top of that, you should be eating 5-7 meals per day. Never let yourself go without food for more than 3 hours. You need more protein and veg/fruits and less carbs (especially during breakfast).
