Ok, at Halls High, my band director, is always saying these 3 words.... one more time, but everytime he says it, we do it at least 7 or 8 more times and he keeps repeating on more time..... Is it just me, or does andybody else's marching band director do the same thing???

XD My freshman year I actually believed him and then I realized that one more time = 10 more times. My cousin is a band director and I asked him whether he does this too, and he said yeah. I yelled at him and he said he can't help it. >.>

My BD does that too. During marching band, especially band camp, we will be doing something in 100 degree heat for an hour and a half.
BD: One more time! Then a water break
Us: You said that an hour ago. If one more time means one more hour, we may never get to a water break...

Then a water break Us: You said that an hour ago. If one more time means one more hour, we may never get to a water break... Ugh, that's the worst. My BD also does that, and we've went entire rehearsals in summer without water. Like, we have after school practices on monday and thursday during marching season, so the first day of school was on a monday and I went ALL DAY without anything to drink and our BD never gave us a water break. I felt really bad after rehearsal...

To us, one more time was code for "Until I am satisfied". One time he had us playing the Star Spangled Banner repeatedly for three hours, just because he was pissed about something and wanted to get back at us.

I think there's something abnormal about band directors that don't say 'one more time' and mean like 10.
