Abu Dtharr reported that the Messenger of Allaah (sallallaahu ‘alaihi wasallam) said, There are three people whom Allah shall not speak to on the Day of Resurrection, nor shall he look at them, nor shall he purify them, and they shall have a painful torment: One whose garment hangs down below his ankles, almanaan6 So if yo wear trousers below your ankles you'll burn in hell, but murderers are forgiven because Allah (swt) is merciful? Can someone clear this up for me? confused

blackbird creative What? That person must have mixed up words or something. I thought wearing pants below your ankles was a good thing. I doubt it's true. I think he was referring to men. I dont think men are allowed to wear trousers below hte ankle.

There is such a hadith, but whoever reported it forgot one important word that would explain WHY it's forbidden (particularly for men).
It should be: "Whoever drags his garments on the ground in pride, Allah will not look at him on the day of Resurrection".
Another hadith is: that the Prophet PBUH warned one of the companions, "Never [let your] garment drag [on the ground], for dragging your garment is a sign of pride, and Allah does not like pride"
And Allah knows best.
