Im curious. What do most lolitas think about plastic surgery?

Personally, I am okay with it as long as it is for a good reason. And has limits of course.

Good Reason: I've been wanting to change ___ for a long time and I feel that I am ready for it now.

Bad Reason: My old boyfriend didn't like my ____. I want to change it so the next one will.

There are times though when the surgery is also done due to health or during a procedure for health.

Like a rhinoplasty (nose job) done at the same time a deviated septum is getting fixed.

What do all of you think?

Like a rhinoplasty (nose job) done at the same time a deviated septum is getting fixed.

A girl I know did that. Her nose had always looked funny to her (I'm legally blind, so I couldn't tell.) So she had it changed, when the fixed her septum.
I think that plastic surgery is ok, but there are limits.
When my face was bitten by a dog, when I was five, a plastic surgeon sewed it up. I also think that plastic surgery to correct something that happened in an accident is definitely a good thing.
I think that getting one, maybe two things done for self-esteem is fine, but plastic surgery in excess is bad.
Also, Operation Smile is a fantastically wonderful organization! They help children with cleft palettes and such get reconstructive surgery.

We put on makeup, dress sexy and get in shape and do all sorts of things to alter our appearance. I personally place surgery in that category and judge it by the same guidelines.

GOOD: You want to enhance yourself. You like who you are and know that others like you as well. You'd just like your outside to reflect what you feel you should look like on the inside. You're doing it for yourself. You're going to do it the safe, healthy way. So you: wear makeup, lose weight, buff up, get a nose job, get lipo after working as much off as you can naturally, dye your hair, or something like that.

BAD: You want to hide yourself. You hate yourself/how you look and don't understand how anyone could see any beauty in you. You feel that by controlling your appearance, you can control other aspects of your otherwise out of control life. You're doing it to please someone else. You don't care how much it harms your body/mind, as long as you do it. So you: wear too much makeup, become anorexic, take steroids, get too much plastic surgery, get lipo to get rid of all of it, damage your hair, etc.

But that's just me.

I think plastic sugery is fine if you do it for yourself and not just to fit that what others want you to look like and also it should be thought twice if it is really needed. I as example have a huge issue with my nose because she isn't straight so my glasses never fit and wearing them hurts like hell (I hate my glasses anyways so I don't really care). Well, I will never have the money to get it fixed thought. ._.
