I waited too long to start on my research for my seminar paper, so now I'm suffering. Would it be wrong to ask for some help? It wouldn't be considered cheating if I get help researching, right? sweatdrop
I'm looking for journal articles in PDF format on the topic of Douglas Mao, modernism (in the literary sense), objects as art vs objects as science, the test of production (meaning whether or not an object/art is worth making for existential reasons), and such. Anything on those topics would be greatly appreciated. If I can get two or three more good articles, I should be in okay shape. My starting point is Douglas Mao's "Solid Objects: Modernism and the Test of Production." Anyone who helps me find an article that I can use in my seminar paper will get a nice prize as soon as the semester is over.

I asked my supervisor the same thing, and he said, "No, it's not cheating. It's being smart!"
I'll see what I can kick up. By the way, you don't have to bribe me. wink

Mine too, from the paper I've been trying to put together for several days now. I've pulled all-nighters for two nights in a row, the thing is due tomorrow, and it's still not done! crying I'm at the "not-so-difficult" part now, though.
But just think, Chibi! Christmas is just around the corner, and this time tomorrow, all our schoolwork will be turned in! heart

Ugh! This is ridiculous! It's midnight and I still have 3 more pages to go to reach my minimum page length! xp I'm working on the dining room table because I don't have a desk in my room. And my dad had the nerve to tell me that if I had finished my education degree, I wouldn't be in this mes. I would rather write a hundred of these papers the night before they were due before I take another education course! xp And he says that it's my fault that I'm in this mess. But, I've been working my butt off for over a month. I can't remember the last time I got a full night's sleep! Now I have a sinus infection and a nice fever to go along with it thanks to my letting my immune system drop in favor of getting my work done. IRL, the only things I do are go to class, work on homework/papers, and post a bit on Gaia. I haven't even been on much recently either! crying And to say that all of this is my fault? It most certainly is not! It was completely unavoidable! I think I'll go cry and finish my seminar paper.... Hopefully I will get an hour or two of sleep tonight...

Poor Chibi! I know it's not your fault! I've been exactly where you are so many times, and who knows how many more.
Try to center yourself and remember you are doing this for you. So there's no one to disappoint if you don't do as well as you would have liked, and you win everything if you do really well.

scream Wha--!? The NERVE of your dad, Chibi! Wasn't he one of the ones who encouraged you to change majors? And I KNOW he was the one who kept you from finishing your degree at our old school because he got into shouting matches with all of your professors that year! But you know, he's probably just worried about you, and maybe saying that kind of stuff because he just doesn't know what else to say. Sometimes people are like that, when they know that nobody can do anything to help but they feel like they have to say something anyway. Hopefully all will be well between you this time tomorrow.
