*As Pasa walks back from the classroom, heading towards his garden, he hears a scream from down the hall...and a yell from his father as well...the sounds continue...shrieks of pain....yells of rage...on both sides...*

Without thinking, he turns about and runs towards the sounds. Running towards danger rather than away from it seems to have been a trait bred into his genes.

*He finds himself in a hall, with Kero simply repulsing an angry wyvern every time she swoops at him...demanding that he take down the law that prevents parents from slaying children who hurt their babies. The wyvern screeches in pain every time she strikes his shield...and then spots Pasa...who finds himself picked up...then snatched away by a squid-like creature....one that bores into his mind...then pulled away by a large snake...a wyrm...and finally, having the lady wyvern snatch him again...holding him up as collateral, and demanding that Kero overturn the law...which he stands up to do*
Very well....As Lord of the Void, I declare that law overturned. Parents may now slay children who harm their kids. As Lord of the Endless Void, this do I swear.
*Finally, the wyvern cackles, and deposits Pasa at Kero's feet....when she flies out, Kero picks his son up*
You are in a bunch of trouble...but first...*He addresses the crowd again*...and as Lord of the Endless Void, I now declare the slaying of children, even those who harm other children, once more illegal.
*Looks at Pasa*
Note that I didn't say how long it would be legal for...

Pasa shakes his head laughing with a touch of hysteria. "And you have to sit here... how long?" Almost instantly he sobers and rubs the back of his neck. "Man that squid thing hurt... and yeah... I figured ye'd get angry, but I didn't think you were in here already... and when I heard all the commotion, I kind of went into check it out mode... Sorry, mes'sirrah."

The boy faces him impassively, though Kero senses the storm which is raging underneath... fear vying with shame and layered with just a touch of defiance. "Before you punish me, mes'sirrah... may I say something?"

"All I wish to know, mes'sirrah.... is what would ye have done in my shoes... at my age and feeling the way I do about ye and all ye hold dear?" He stands there ready to accept whatever punishment Kero hands down to him, knowing his sirrah is angry and rightfully so. He inhales slowly and prepares himself mentally for the scolding and whopping of his life.
"I heard fighting, mes'sirrah... and I grew worried. I know I should have run, but I... I just couldn't do it."

And that is one of the reasons I will be punishing you...but at the same time...I cannot. For you did exactly what I would have done once again...thought only of another whom you love, and of their safety. Pasa...words can't express how proud I am of you...not at all...

Passura throws himself at Kerobian and hugs him close. "I... I was so scared...." he whispers in a ragged voice.

The boy nods and buries his face into Kerobian's robes. He is finally beginning to shake, as the stress of the encounters finally come home to rest. Silently weeping he stands there, willing to do whatever it takes to makes his sirrah happy.
