Well, its' near the end of October... and I had totally wanted to get this up sooner but things kept coming up. However - now, here it is. I decided to reduce the amount of prizes a little and save them for something for Christmas, and the concept is sort of last-minute and simple but I think it should work. It still has the luck factor that a Lotto would, only this one depends on how much the dice love you.
Here is how it works:
You make 1 roll per day, rolling 1d20 (one twenty-sided die). You do this 5 times (so 5 days), and calculate the result.
Once all the rolls are in, I'll allow the person with the highest result to pick a prize from the prize list. After that, the person with the second highest result gets to pick a prize. So on and so forth until there are no more prizes remaining.
Why one roll per day? I think it may add some suspense. xD. Someone could roll 20 for two days in a row, and look like the winner.. only to roll 1, 3, and 5 and drop out of the lead. If you roll all 5 dice at once, it sort of removes any chance of that!
Before you start rolling - please look at the rules, which is right below. Also below will be the current tallies, and the list of prizes available. As each prize is selected once the winners are determined, I'll change it to "Prize taken by x." If there are any prizes remaining (i.e. - we don't get more than 7 people) - I'll split it amongst the remaining people, if applicable.
Game Rules
1] You must have a minimum post count in the guild of 5. For you 0-posters out there, spamming to reach 5 will result in being disqualified. This is the only requirement. Anyone with 6 posts or more can freely participate.
2] Do not delete posts in this thread. Post again if you forget to roll. Deleting posts will be considered cheating, and you will be disqualified. Yes, this counts even if you delete a post without a roll (since I can't be sure if there was a roll in the post or not!)
3] One roll per day. One day equals one 24-hour period. If you roll at 5 PM one day, you cannot make another roll until 5 PM the following day.
4] You have until November 7th (12 days) to make your 5 rolls. On the 7th, the rolling period will be over and I will start handing out prizes. If you start and are going to be unable to finish, send me a PM and we can work something out.
5] In order to win a prize (from the prize list, or a consolation prize) you must have rolled -all 5 dice.- It becomes easier to win a consolation prize for say... lowest total score if you roll only 1 die, and get a 1. This should prevent that.
6] You may only win once. If you win a prize from the prize list, then you are not eligible for a consolation prize. If you win one consolation prize, you cannot win a second.
