This guild is slowing down to an unhealthy level. I really don't want it to fizzle out and die. So, please show your support for this guild by posting on a regular basis and letting your presence be known! We have lots of great members here, so keep this guild alive!

I just realized that I misspelled "guild" in the second option. xp
Let me explain what's going on. I didn't mean to frighten anyone. sweatdrop As many of you are well aware, this guild died for all practical purposes once already. That was during the time that I was doing my student teaching and fell away from Gaia, and during the first part of 2009 when I was starting over. I feel really responsible for the first collapse of this guild. See for yourself on pages 53 and 54 of the Hangout thread (formerly the SPAM thread). Because of this, I am doing my very best to keep this guild going. That's actually why I started doing events in the guild. I thought that if I could make this guild more exciting, then everyone would come back. But, I guess alot of people have moved on. sad I'm seeing another dying trend, and that's what I posted about. Most of our members are rarely seen anymore. Our activity is way down. So, I'm reaching out to all of the people who love this guild to make a commitment to keeping it going. We've already survived being deleted (former guild) and one death, so let's be strong enough to survive!

I think this guild is great. We always have lots to talk about, and the members bring up interesting things to discuss. It's not a random bumping guild, and it's not an immature group of kids who can't spell. It's really fun. I'm finding that I fit in really well, and everyone's nice. So I hope the guild gets a second (or third?) wind.

I think we're getting a little bit of a wind right now. biggrin Now if only we could pull back certain other people who have strayed off. lol Seriously, Gaia is hurting itself with the facebook thing. I know several people who have left Gaia for facebook, and Gaia seems to be encouraging it. xp

@Green - I seriously don't know what the attraction to facebook is. I'm guessing it's the apps. I've heard quite a bit about an app called "farm town" or something like that. But what really gets me is that people facebook people they see everyday irl! What is the point in that? I agree that Gaia is way cooler than facebook, but you have to admit that there are several people addicted to it. Twitter is even more inane in my opinion. Does everyone really need to know what you're doing at every minute of the day? It's like Gaia's status updates, but without all of the cool stuff on the site. What is so appealing about that?

I check it two or three times a day for messages or updates, since a lot of my friends are back in new york (I'm in PA) but I don't actually do much on it except post links and take quizzes

I use Facebook to keep in contact with people. It's like a giant, online phonebook. Otherwise, that's all. It's not something I jump to get on every chance I get. It's not like it's . . . playable . . . like Gaia is.
My mom is actually a Facebook addict. But she is one of those nosey people who really does want t o know everything everyone is doing at every moment.
And Twitter is stupid. xp

I agree that Twitter is stupid, also.
I do have a facebook account, but that is only to keep in touch with friends. Gaia has so much more things to do on it. I haven't connected to facebook through Gaia because I don't think the two should connect!
Any way, I will do my best to do my part in keeping this guild going, Chibi! I really like it, and don't want it to die, either!

I'm not ABOUT to connect my Facebook account with my Gaia account! On Facebook and MySpace, people know me by my name, but on Gaia, only Chibi, Malomy, theshortme, and JessykaYasha know who I really am. I actually wouldn't mind people knowing my real name, but you keep hearing so many nightmare stories about people getting fired, or not being considered for jobs, because of what they put up on Facebook and MySpace. So I'm kind of paranoid about Gaia becoming like that too. So not good! eek sweatdrop
