I found something really shocking in the GCD. Gaia has a sister site! It's www.gonline.com and it's Gaia's Chinese twin! Here is the thread I found in the GCD. GCD LinkHere is the sister site. GOnlineThe simplicity kind of reminds me of how Gaia used to be. But of course, there are some big changes. There are items that can only be found there, but most of their items are the same as the items on our Gaia. The forums look about the same, but it looks like there is some type of status thing under each member. I can't read Chinese, so I don't know what it's saying. I need to grab one of my Chinese friends for help on that one. Oh! And they have completely different NPC's! In addition, they have an art arena! I spent about an hour looking at it, and from the best I can tell, it has been around for a little over a month. No wonder everyone looks like newbies! blaugh

Hoollly crap. I WANT their NPCs. They seem so much cooler! And Liam looks super awesome!
It's weird that they can buy some past event items and old rares.
BTW, we have an art arena too. wink

Oh... sweatdrop I just knew about the avatar arena. It just goes to show how much I go there. lol
But, I know what you mean about the NPC's. They look so cool! xd I looked at some of the items and I thought the same thing. I saw someone in the forums with the dj studio headphones. And that site has only been around for a little over a month! I wish I could read Chinese so I could find out what the legend is supposed to be. Some of their clothes look really cool too. But, it kind of reminds me of how everyone used to look on Gaia. lol The most fascinating part to me is the stats under everyone's avi's.

I've heard them talking about it in the GCD, too.
It's like baby Gaia. I wonder how many members there are so far?

I don't have any idea. I'm guessing that there aren't that many because it just opened, but I'm really wondering how many of the people from our Gaia have accounts on the Chinese Gaia.

I noticed that in a few sigs. I've pretty much had my fill of looking around for right now. I think that the neatest thing about it is the novelty of it.

Yeah, I was wondering about people getting accounts on there. I mean, I gave it a few minutes thought, but there's not much going on right now, and the Chinese people might get annoyed with a bunch of foreigners invading their site. Maybe if more people from over here started joining, it would be fun to be at the beginning of something, since I couldn't be here for the beginning of Gaia.

I didn't get to Gaia until March 2005. I would have loved to have been around since the beginning. But I didn't think Gaia worthy of joining until I got really bored one day in my dorm. sad

LOL!
Don't do anything else!
But seriously, I studied abroad with my university, twice, during my first semester of third year and the summer before fourth year! And I applied for graduate school overseas. Oh, and then there was the one time I went to Ecuador and the Galapagos Islands with my school the summer after I graduated.
So counting all that, I've only been out of the country four times in my life (not including the tens of times I've visited family in Puerto Rico).
