CONTESTS
Cross Academy-The After Story will be holding contests during certain periods of time each month. These contests vary from cosplay, writing, poetry, avatar art, fan art, etc. Each contest will have prizes, and each prize varies on the contest owner. Prizes could be, but are not limited to: avatar art, gaia gold, gaia items, and fan art. Again, prizes are dependent on the contest creator.
Like all contests, we have rules too. All rules apply to all contests, so please read carefully. Thank you.
QUALIFICATIONS:
You must have active membership in this guild. This means that you post regularly and have good reputations among peers here in the guild.
Being active does not mean a couple posts in one day, a sudden, random disappearance for a few weeks, and then another random post just to say you posted. You must be loyal and an ACTIVE RP-er. In a way, these contests are here to reward you for hard work and for you to wind down and have some more fun outside of the Academy environment.
Because you will be winning prizes, we want to make sure that you are worthy enough of our gold and own hard work to get these prizes to you.
MAIN RULES:
1. You must follow the individual rules of the contests, so always read the first posts.
2. No cheating, plagiarizing, or scamming.
*Plagiarizing: taking someone else's work and claiming as your own. This is illegal. DONT DO IT. This also includes stealing photos others have taken or photos that are not yours. So don't use them.
3. Do not have someone else draw your images for any contest, and don't claim them as yours. Again, eventually it will come back.
4. Be fair and polite. Constructive criticism is welcome, but no flaming.
5. No foul language, obscene gestures, or nudity. Keep it PG-13
6. Follow Gaia rules.
7. Make sure your work is submitted on time after you have recieved confirmation that you are qualified for the contest. Each contest may have their own qualifications.
SUBMITTING YOUR APPLICATION AND WORK:
Your application is basically what the contest owner is looking for, and usually they will state in their qualifications what they want on your application.
No one can simply enter the contest just by posting what they want. The applicants must be approved by the owner so that the owner knows how many are going to be needing judging. Owners of the contest need to make sure that they have a deadline for applications BEFORE the contest begins.
Example:
Application Deadline: September 18
Work Submission Deadline: September 24
Judging Deadline: September 26
Results: Septemeber 27
Work should be submitted to the contest creator before the deadline, and through pm or however the contest owner wishes for the work to be sent. This means that contest owners should tell contestants how they want the work submitted: via pm, email, snail mail, etc.
Contest owners need to make sure that their contestants know that they are qualified and entered into the contest and that they know that you have received their work.
CREATING A CONTEST:
Contest owners need to make sure that their contests are cleared by the guild Captain and Vice Captain. So please submit your idea along with what you will post for rules, deadlines, prize(s), and procedure (if there is one). Once you have received verification that your contest is valid, you may post the contest here in the forums, however, the forums will remain locked until the contest dates are open.
Contest forum open dates will be announced in the Announcement Forums.
*Make sure to have your prizes ready to be delivered to your winner(s)!!!
*Also make sure that your prizes are announced when you create the contest.
*When creating your contest, please announce the following:
1. Contest Details
2. Rules and Qualifications
3. How to submit work
4. Deadlines
5. How many winners
6. Prizes

AGREEMENT:
*By entering any Cross Academy-The After Story contest you agree to follow the rules of the contests and forums as well as Gaia's Terms and Conditions and rules. Failure to follow these rules can and will result in banning from this guild, and possibly Gaia. So please use common sense and follow rules, for they are there for a reason.
*By entering any Cross Academy-The After Story contest you agree that all images are your own, and not stolen from any website or person(s) without consent and permission. You agree that any persons in the images submitted are you, and that you are not using any one else's work.
*By entering any Cross Academy- The After Story contest you agree that all writings are your own, and not copied from another person's work or website or asked to be written by another person. That is still plagiarizing.
*By entering any Cross Academy-The After Story contest you agree that all drawings submitted are done by you, and not taken from another person's work or website or asked to be drawn by another person. That is still plagiarizing.
*By entering any Cross Academy-The After Story contest, you agree to have fun and enjoy yourself while at the same time respecting others.
*As a judge for Cross Academy-The After Story contests, you agree to judge fairly, and not to discriminate against any one person's work.
*As a judge for Cross Academy-The After Story contests, you agree to have the judging completed by the date assigned by the creator.
*As a judge for Cross Academy-The After Story contests, you agree to give constructive criticism and valid reasons for your vote to each contestant.
*As a judge for Cross Academy-The After Story contests, you agree to follow Gaia's Terms of Service as well as Gaia forum rules, Cross Academy-The After Story guild rules, contest rules and individual contest rules.
*As a judge for Cross Academy-The After Story contests, you agree to report any plagiarized work or suspected illegal activities to the owner of this guild, contest creator, or Gaia.
*As a judge for Cross Academy-The After Story contests, you agree to disqualify any contestant not in consent with the rules or involved in plagiarizing or other.
*As a judge for Cross Academy-The After Story contests, you agree to follow through with your votes and be sure that your votes are submitted to the contest creator by the deadline.
*As a judge for Cross Academy- The After Story contests, you agree to have fun while being courteous and fair to the others of the guild and contests.
*As a contest owner, you agree to follow Gaia's ToS, Forums and Guild's rules, Cross Academy-The After Story rules, and contest rules when submitting a contest.
*As a contest owner, you agree to update your contests when needed and make sure that your contests are valid and easy to follow for contestants.
*As a contest owner, you agree to create your rules and make sure that they are easy to understand to your contest applicants. You also agree to make sure that you answer any questions that contestants and applicants may have.
*As a contest owner, you agree to have contest results submitted by your deadline.
*As a contest owner, you agree to have your judges ready for judging.
*As a contest owner, you agree to make sure that your judges understand your rules and what you are looking for in a winner of your contest.
