So, I'm gonna be 21 on November 6th this year. My parents are already bugging me to now what I want to do for it. Honestly, I don't really know. I'd like to do what I did last year which is just have a few friends round, play some vidjagames and have a few drinks. I know I'll kick myself in a few years for not doing something bigger.
SO, ATG! Suggest unto me some ideas for a 21st birthday party
biggrin
Also, What did you do on yours? What would you like to have done? Banana? If you've not passed it, What would you like to do?

Play cricket while drinking tea and eating crumpets or something. Whatever British people do.

Well, you could do what my family did for me: Grill up around 30 pounds of ribs, get several loaves of artisan bread, four or five different barbecue sauces, and as many different types of alcohol as you can stand. I suggest mead. Serves a dozen or so hearty party-goers.

21 is NOT a landmark where I live. I think I just had a quiet dinner with my parents. I don't really remember.
For my 18th, I had a murder mystery party (you know the kind that comes in a box) and a bottle of something fizzy with alcohol in it. I don't remember what. A few weeks later I went out to the bar and got smashed with my best friend who had also just turned 18.

I'm considering going to an arcade/bowling-alley/bar/restaurant place with my friends for my next birthday. As for my 21st, I really don't remember what I did. I think I worked, then had dinner with a good friend.
I do like your idea though. It sounds like a swell time with your buddies.

Bass make sure you do what YOU want to do on your birthday! I make sure I NEVER got to work on my birthday. It the one day a year where it all about me! I'll be dammed if I'm doing something I don't want to!

My 21st birthday is going to be pretty boring for me, since I don't plan on drinking. Also, it's in the summer, and no one is ever around.
Maybe my friends will go out and drink, and I can be the designated driver. razz

An idea just hit me, if I'm going to go out, how about making it fun.
Metal/fantasy fancy-dress.
biggrin
I'll so be doing the whole Dimmu Borgir look with the corpse paint and stuff. 8D

I don't really do anything special for my birthday, 21st or otherwise. I see my friends at some point, I eat with my family at some point. That's about it, but it's how I like it.
So just do things how you like it... 3nodding
Do all your favorite stuff!

Honestly, I've found that planning something big and extravagant is much less likely to go well. Some of the best, most memorable times I've had were just simple nights that I spent hanging out with my friends. If that's your first instinct as to what you'd like to do, then I say go for it.
Edit: Metal fancy-dress is win. xD Can I fly over and take part?

Well, for my 21st, 2 of my friends are taking me down Midland Street to go get completely smashed, as 21 is the drinking age here in the states. ( Midland street is the street here in Bay City that has probably 20+ bars on it )
I'd rather keep it low key and relaxed, but they're not down for that idea.
My suggestion for you Bass. LAN party, booze, YES. Do it to it.
