Pennsylvania recently passed a new law banning 5 surgeries/procedures on dogs from being performed by non-licensed folks (aka, dog owners who mistreat their animals and do it themselves).

While I don't support most/pretty much all of these surgeries anyway, at least weirdos aren't allowed to do them at home anymore.

1. Cropping, trimming, or cutting off an ear

2. Debarking by cutting or injuring the vocal cords

3. Docking or cutting off the tail of a dog over five days of age

4. Surgically birthing a dog

5. Removing the dewclaws from a dog over five days of age
