And, I wasn't even smoking! Sure there are cigarette/smoking items on Gaia, but I just had my Cloud equipped! xp And even if I did have a cig equipped, it doesn't give that noob the right to sue me! I canceled the trade and sent that person a PM. I'm afraid I was a bit rude. sweatdrop

You know how people will go through the forms and randomly post "bump" right? People who just do that are bumpers. Or at least I call them that. lol When I first joined Gaia, I thought that bumping was a game. That was 4 1/2 years ago. And I'm sure that bumping was around long before that. I can't really explain it, but it's just something people do. I think that most people do it to get gold without having to contribute to a conversation though.

Outside of places where posting gets you points for whatever reason, bumping's used so that a topic can be brought up to the top of the list. That way it gets a bit more publicity. However, with Gaia being Gaia, I'm pretty sure that it'd be useless to bump anything anyway.

Thanks for bringing up this thread again! xd I forgot all about it! The funny part is that just about everyone is smoking in the GCD in protest of the ban on tobacco products. rofl In addition, just about everyone has a)themselves b)Lanzer c) NPC's smoking in their sigs. Compare that to that stupid trade I got a while back! rofl I don't think that smoking is a good idea, but you've gotta love how the GCD protests. xd

I agree with y'all. I've never smoked and don't intend to start, but at the same time I believe in smokers' rights, both in real life and on Gaia. I understand that the powers that be are supposedly trying to look out for "the children" who go on this site, but good grief! If they're that worried about it, why not mimic real-life smoking laws and ban anyone under the age of 18 or 19 from buying ciggies (and make them soulbound so you can't sell them to kids). You have to give your birthdate when you join Gaia, so even though this would be a pain in the butt to have to keep up with, it would still be possible to do, and it would be better than taking away the freedom to choose, especially when we're talking about online PAPER DOLLS and not real life! *rant mode off* rolleyes rolleyes rolleyes
