Since it was too big for a guild announcement, here was my intended announcement:

Quote:
Okay, so for those of you who have not been following, I've been busy trying to rearrange my life - up to and including moving from one coast to another (on my own). Things are falling into place, and I should be able to start employment by Tuesday the 14th!

But why am I bothering all of you with this? Because the fulfillment of my guild captainy duties has fallen to the wayside because of it. BUT I've gone from a hectic family situation, to a me-living-by-myself situation. I should have heaps of free time in the VERY near future.

I do have some errands to do first though, so not quite yet. Got to get my car's oil changed, have to grab some more furniture I need, I need to get a drug and background test for my job done, have to set up a new bank account, have to get some new clothes (well, SHOES mainly) for work, have to get some major appliances that I don't have don't work at all... probably a few other things I can't think of right now.

So enough about my going-ons. In the very near future, I will be going through and Voiding all the old inactive games. This will clean up the guild a lot, and help all the newcomers to the guild find games that might be looking a bit easier; also, it would hopefully make running games a little less daunting and maybe a few more will kick up.

This is my first priority. After that is squared away, Jade Legacy and Destroyer War will re-initiate. With more me-time and me-space, maybe I can get a few other games going and keep them going strong!

I'm sure a lot of you have been asking...

WHERE'S RAIN?

Basically, I've been caught in a horrible Overtime loop at work. My new job is in accounting and they make a big deal about everything being caught up by the 1st of every month so we know how much money our casino made.

There are 4 of us involved in Food & Beverage audit, plus a supervisor. The supervisor was on vacation last week, person 1 was on vacation this week, person 2 left, and I am training to take over Purchasing while the person who runs that is out on heart surgery. That leaves person 4 to try to keep up with all the work on her own. I helped when I could but I was gone half the day and was really only successful on keeping up on my own work.

Thus, I've been doing 2 hours overtime every evening at work to try to get us caught up on the restaurants that have fallen behind about 10 days, maybe more. We're ALMOST caught up but I still have to do overtime tomorrow too. If we include last Friday, I've worked 12 hours overtime and about to work another 8-10 tomorrow.

I'm choosing to go in for 7am rather than my normal 8:30am start tomorrow in an effort to get home sooner. My problem is that I've been too exhausted to really do any coherent posts because of work overload so most of my evenings have been me coming home, having a late dinner, unwind for 20 minutes and then go to bed to repeat it all the next day.

WHAT DOES THIS MEAN FOR MY GAMES?

Well the 1st is Monday. Come that day, the stress of our situation will have passed. Person 1 is back from vacation and they were contacting people to replace person 2 a week ago, so hopefully a new hire will be coming soon. I'm VERY MUCH looking forward to not being so completely behind on everything.

Since I'm working at 7 tomorrow as I mentioned, my goal is to get home early enough where I will still have brain function to do posts. I will be getting my games underway! It's just been a difficult time at work, and with any luck, it ends starting next week!

I'm not dead!

Things have been a little hectic at work. Often, I would get home, make dinner, eat dinner, turn on my computer, then fall asleep before I got to do anything.

Lately though, some friends have been moving from one apartment to another and I've been helping with that. Also, apparently, I'm some sort of inhuman moving machine?

Anywho, tonight was the last night I could help with that. I think work will continue to be hectic for... well, all through next week, probably the weekend, and peter out the following Monday/Tuesday.

Sorry about this, folkarinos!

Most of my intended chores are being caught up on (put the last load of laundry in now). Tomorrow I have to clean dishes, but since I got my new dishwasher up and running (I hope), very few of it will have to be handwashed.

I plan on posting in everything tomorrow. Here's hoping!
