The movie: "The Time Traveler's Wife" look ridiculous?
I mean, no offense, but I'm just not feeling it.

Opinions?

Really? I'm actually fairly excited about the movie...but then again I absolutely loved the book...

Also, Randominmity: Crotch Croissant?

I'm kind of amused that it's supposedly based on a bestselling novel, yet no one I've talked to has ever heard of it.

I'm not really into romance movies, but it kind of looks interesting.

It's hot eh? ;]

You know, you're right, I shouldn't really jump to conclusions if I never read it. But maybe it's just the actors... I DON'T know what it is! >=[

I'm not particularly interested.

lol Yeah so hawt

Maybe it's because the premise is so weird? Cuz I mean...the dude time-travels and they focus on the romantic aspect? Or...something. I dunno. The moment I typed that down, I started pointing out certain things in my head (like how he only time travels to random points in his (and his wife's) life).
Yeah I'm babbling now.

I have not heard of this story. Not the movie that is, apparently, coming out nor of the "bestselling book".

...

I wonder why that is...

I've never read it, but I've definitely heard about it.

It's just probably not a genre that most ATGers are into.

I know my mom read it in her book club. She liked it.

I don't think the movie has gotten the best reviews, though....

I'd heard of both book and movie about a year ago, but not really anything *about* it. *shrug* smile

A few people I know are stoked for this movie, but I'm a bit iffy about it. They say it's a fresh idea, and it's true that I haven't ever seen a romance movie that revolves around time travel... But I've seen the gist of it many a time.

I don't think it'll be particularly captivating for me....

Then again, I'm not very fond of the genre, so...

To be honest, the first thing I thought when I saw this movie was "Doctor Who?" and the ONLY reason for that is because of the episode where he was stuck in the Library planet and he met his future wife... or well at least I think that was his future wife. Anyway yeah after the initial "this would be cooler if it was Doctor Who" period I actually paid attention to what its about and... not really interested. This feels... chick flicky to me and I dun like chick flicks.

I'm with Sanzo. The movie previews scream Chick Flick...
I'm not at all interested. I am repelled by it.
And does anyone else get reminded of that movie The Lake House when they watch these previews? What I saw of that movie was so bad it was actually laughable.

Wasn't that the one with Keanu "only has one facial expression" Reeves?
I didn't bother to see that one either. A movie has to be either funny or have plenty of action and violence to get me to watch it

Yes. He starred in it along with Sandra Bullock.
They should have stopped at Speed -_-

Yeah, it's pure Chick Flick so I'm not surprised folks would be a bit turned off by it...

But again, I loved the book (and I'm not even that big of a romance novel-y person thing) so I will be seeing this movie eventually~

Though The Lake House looked bleh. >.>
