What do you think of the hadith. I know that not everyone follows it, and I'm confused by the few that I read. They all seem like little anecdotes to me.

Anyway, there are a couple of sites that have some coloful things about the hadith.

http://submission.org/hadith/

http://www.quranalone.com/

I would like to know what you guys think. So, let's talk about the hadith. smile

I think it's more of a ''whatever floats your boat'' kind of thing like the Niqab.

Ahadith is a must b/c the Quran tells Muslims their deen but the sound Ahadith left behind by Muhammad pbuh shows Muslims how to fulfill their deen. Muhammad pbuh was the best example for the Muslims. Some Muslims feel that the Quran should be the only Book we follow however in order to learn about Islam in the Prophet's pbuh and other Messangers, we need more information so we look to the Ahadith. Usually, the four most sound Hadith are Bukhari, Muslim, Malik and Dawud.

So those are the most reliable hadith. Thank you. I can see them as a reference pont. It's just I'm not sure how literally their application should be. Perhaps I just need to study more. sweatdrop

As a start-off, my advice would be Bukhari and Muslim and they themselves give us a wealth of information. Read the others as further study as these two alone may not everything. It is also advisable to read different FAQ books from different scholars. You could find them from Darussalam, an awesome publication for Islamic books.
