There needs to be a quitting or taking a leave of absence sticky. Just so we know who is gone and who is quitting. If they are quitting they don't need to topic. The discussion can go down there. For a leave of absence just state how long you will be gone and if you want, why. Simple, no? I think we should add this. Make everything a bit more easy.

I don't think it's really needed though. I mean, if someone is quitting then they don't really need to post about it.
We have a leave of absense thing for Crew, but that's cause we actually need to know who is here. For members, we don't .

I disagree. I mean, It would be nice to know who is quitting. It seems we are all pretty tight knit here. I think we should let each other know when we decide to pursue other interests.

I don't know about others, but I think something like that would be bad for someone like me.
I like being able to come and go as I please.

This should really be in the Suggestions sub.
Crew already have an absence thread. Regs though, don't really need to let us know if they want to quit.

People don't quit for good frequently enough to require a thread for that. Especially one that will take up more Sticky space.
Even if they're going hiatus, a lot of people don't tell us anyway. It's more of a fading thing, and then they come back.
I'd take sporadic Break threads over a permanent Announce Your Leaving thread. It just wouldn't get much use.

i think most people make their own threads.
i didn't make one when i left for a while (i think.. o.0)
but people notice when you're gone and when you come back! (hopefully)

I agree that it would be pretty negative. If we care that much about them, they deserve their own thread. XD People tend to ignore the stickies.

If this is spurred on by Supertheory's stuff last night, the point is if someone is going to leave and has something to say about why they're going to make a topic regardless. Especially since we all know that Sticky's with things like introduce yourself and junk are largely ignored on a whole.
I just don't think it would be useful, and if I was going to leave or know they I was going to be gone for an extended period of time I either would make my own topic, or not say anything since this guild doesn't eliminate people based on their posting frequency.
