Say, I wanna know what matters most for you in Jrock music/bands. Is it the singing and lyrics? Or maybe the members? How popular they are with other people? The awesome music? Or just eye-candy?
For me, it's the sound of the music/singing, and then lyrics. If the music/singing is just bad, I wont ever listen to it again. The lyrics are important too, because I like songs with good lyrics and they should be meaningful.
So come on, post, you know you want to!

I'm guilty for liking eyecandy, but they can be amazingly hot, but if their music sucks I'm done with them.
I like a good beat above anything. Then a good voice. Music is everything to me. Meanings don't really matter, though it's nice to have a song you can understand through meaning.

You already know what I'm like dude! Well anyways, I listen to bands depending on their singing and the music itself. Looks are a plus in my standards, but I don't like listening to groups just for that. Lyrics are good too.^^

For me, i would say singing and lyrics, members, the awsome music, lil bit of popularity, and eye-candy. lol pretty much all of the above lol. How they perform and interaction with the audince are other things i look for.

The vocals mainly for me, then the music. I don't like people that are only into image. Personally I think The Gazette are way popular than they should be.

Eh....I'm partially guilty for eye-candy now. I only like this group called Lupo Label because of their looks.>A<' But sadly, they are disbanding.... emo

well I do admit that I noticed J-Rock because of Miyavi's looks but I like the music the most ... I mostly like J-Rock cuz it sounds really different... also cuz of the lyrics [ if I ever read any xD ] and last is the looks ... I din't like the looks of some bands I listen to ... or I din't like em but eventually I get used to them and even find em adorable for some reason but in the end it's the songs that matter ^^

I look mostly for uniqueness! i love almost everything about J-Rock, but i need the band to stand out in order for me to really look into them.

I am guilty of seeing how a band looks and deciding whether or not to listen to them. It used to be that if they were very cute I would definitely give a listen. Now if they are very attractive and their style is great I usually consider but if they look way too generic I probably wont. And of course I don't continue to listen to them if they don't have a good sound. If they sound like I can easily tell them apart from other bands it is best. All of my favorite bands have very original sounds (in my opinion) and I can easily tell who it is even if it's a song I'm not familiar with. This is only difficult in cases where the vocalist was once of another band I like. The main example of this is Janne Da Arc/Acid black cherry. Also sometimes it's hard to tell Sadie from old Dir en grey (don't hate me!). I can usually tell but they imitate dir en grey pretty heavily in some songs.
