Hey, I just started a new guild called Poly Personals. Its a guild made for polyamorous relationships (romantic and friendly) to form. It's just starting out, so it's not great yet but I'm looking for new members and crew members. Poly Personals

Well... lots of people need help with dating and finding a relationship which works, in monogamy as well, so it would be nice for them to have that advice 3nodding
I find that there are many here in THIS guild, however, (especially Mame) who have plenty of advice and insight into dating and relationships of many sorts... and people here are all about exchanging advice and describing experiences on being Poly...
Besides that... I don't mean to seem dismissive, but your title makes it look like a place to pick up dates (which your guild description contradicts)

To be fair I think the guilds are more complimentary than anything else.
The focus I think with the GPG when me and Saew created it was to give a more private enviroment than the 102 thread for people to come with problems they don't want to blatantly make public. In our efforts to create such a safe enviroment we discourage coming to this guild just to cruise, just to pick someone else up.
We're not saying that relationships aren't allowed to form as a product of your interactions here (and really if it happens we can't stop it XD) just that we don't want to see the blatant 'FM looking for M for triad!' type things or have the cruising interfere with the helpful enviroment we mean to have.
And of course we *want* friendships to form XD
But PP has a different focus and I can understand the want/need for a place where people can put out personals to help find someone else. There are other guilds of this nature and even threads like this are allowed in Friends Chat on the main forum, but having one specifically geared towards poly people isn't necessarily a bad thing in my mind.
So in the end I don't think it's a competition at all. I know I've joined PP and plan to mostly lurk but help out if need be. It's not about who can have the most members or who can help the most or anything like that. It's just about helping people in different capacities and providing an appropriate enviroment for such things.
Though I will have to double check with Saew to make sure he's okay with it I think we would be nice to become affiliates or even sister-guilds, that way we use both aspects of our guilds to fully compliment one another. You link to us we link to you and people coming to either guild can get what they need from either, be it a place to just chat make friends and pick someone up or be it a place to come and share their troubles or confusions with people who would want to help. I think by working together we could make both guilds stronger in the end.

Mame, I was, and am, inclined to agree with that perspective.
All I meant was that the title of the guild makes it look like its purpose is exclusively a dating service like the personals listing in a newspaper, and to point out that if PP isn't intended with that purpose foremost in mind (as the guild description page claims), that we're very inclined here to help people find ways to help people make Polyamory work for them, if that's what people want.
As I wrote in the beginning of my previous: if it helps anyone, then it's all good. I'm not trying to attack PP; I'm trying to avoid confusion, and keep people aware how this guild may still function.

cupcake PMed me last week about it, I suggested that she go ahead and post here, I was busy trying to run a few things at the local gaming convention. Nice to see that it's meeting with a generally positive reception though.
