I was just wondering about this, I am thinking of doing it when I die or something, but my mom refuses. She imagines me, not having a heart or something when we all rise for the Day of Judgment?
Is it haram for Muslims to donate organs?

Donating organs is encouraged in Islam. Why? Because it will save a lot of lives. Some people even donate their organs when they are alive. They donate half of their liver as an example, but then they have to go to certain process because they have half of the organ. So it is a bit tough. But imagine how much deeds you got just from saving a life.
It's odd that your mom imagines that kind of things. When it is judgment day, no one will care for each other anymore. People will only want to save themselves. They will left their own babies. They will left their own relatives. They left everything. But then they can't run, no matter how hard they try.

Hello. from what i've hear it is alright to donate something when you are alife.
It's sunah acturally.
But if you are death u can't, so u example can't donate a heart, cause then you die.
That's all, hope it helped u smile
if u wish to donate something, then give blood, or something like that.

I share this sentiment. I am a organ donor on my ID card, i also donate blood reguarly. I thought, that organs and such were 'wordly' and so it didnt matter how many we were missing after we died >>

o.o arn't the Abrahamic religions talking about their afterlife being of the Spirit and not the body? sounds like i am not mistaken in thinking Islam has that in common in with Christianity from what Apple just said.... so your mom is being very silly to think you'll need it after Judgement! xd
the Egyptian Pagans believed that the whole body was born again, but in my opinion tha tis realy silly.

I don't know exactly about how we'll be looked in afterlife. But from what I know, they're in the most perfect form. Even if they died from old age, they'll become young again in the afterlife. Even if they lost their arms and legs, they'll have it in afterlife. but how they're looked also determined by their doing in their life. But the only one know the exact situation is Allah only
And so, I think Donor is alright. You can help others in need, but if it's something that harm yourself (more bad to you than the good people gain, like Just for Dust said, giving out the heart), then I believe it's not allowed.
