So as of late I've been getting into this really bad rut of wanting to play Star Wars (read: nerd addiction). With both TTW, Barton, and MW tapped, I turn to this guild. As such, I'm curious as to the reaction, reception, and how many players would join should I host a campaign.
It'll be...
-1st level
-32 point buy or 4d6 taking the best 3 for all 6 stats. Re-rolling if your highest stat is 13 or lower, or the total modifier is 0 or less.
-All books open
-Sith banned

Quote:
It is a dark time in the galaxy. The evil Galactic Empire has spread
from the Deep Core to the Outer Rim, and everywhere
the Empire’s tyranny can be felt.

Fleeing from the oppression of the Emperor’s minions, agents of
Senator Bail Organa have run to a remote space station above
Brentaal. Known to be a vocal opponent of the Empire,
Organa may be the last hope of freedom in the galaxy.

In the hopes of stopping these dissidents before they can
reach the Senator, the Empire has alerted its forces on
Sel Zonn Station, where the struggle for liberty rages on,
and the first sparks of rebellion have begun to burn. . . .

This'll be set some wheres between the Fall of Anakin (Episode III), and 0BBY (Episode IV). So the Rebellion hasn't taken full root, but there are parts looking for a bit of hope that Rebellion is possible.

So... bait set, any biters?

Just as a general question, what's changed or what's new in the saga book?

Good number of stuff.
Truth be told, I can see where a lot of 4e took their stuff from... SAGA's kinda like 4e's beta test... I'll go no further to avoid edition wars..

EDIT: I don't know if this'll help but, here conversion guide from one Star Wars system to another.

Ah well if it runs like 4e then I will most likely not want to play... I will check it out just to see and then let you know if I am still intrested.

The main difference between 4e and SAGA, from what I can see is that 4e has powers, and SAGA still has the 3.X form of battle, with a touch of d20 Modern tossed in for excellent flavor.
... It's a mishmash of various editions.

One Kel-dorian jedi, coming up. Sorry, just what I'm best at playing for Star Wars is Jedi, and Kel Dorians are my favorite race.

Good thing they do ability point buy the same as DnD 3.5

He's not much of a fighter till next level, but he does have The Force, kinda. He's a Padawan. Not much power in the force or in his melee abilities at the moment, but they shall grow.

2 questions

first, what are your rules for someone being force sensitive...and it always confused me, if i pick Force Sensitive as my first feat, can i pick Use Force as one of the skills i'm trained in?

second, is that a typo in the beginning were you said if any of your stats are 13 or lower? Not that i'm complaining, it's just i remember it being that if all are 13 or lower...because if it was the first way, then there is no threat of having total modifiers being 0 or lower...also, do you want us to just roll our stats IRL, or was there a thread you wanted us to do it in?

Alright yeah, that was a typo. Thanks for catching that.
I would like all stats be done on this thread.

As for Force Sensitive... RAW says yes as within the description it says "Use the Force is considered a class skill for you"
