Twilight -Edward: Your boyfriend seems to think I’m being unpleasant to you — he’s debating whether or not to come break up our fight.
-Edward: Do I dazzle
you?
-Edward: And you accused me of dazzling people — poor Jacob Black.
-Edward: And so the lion fell in love with the lamb…
-Bella: What a stupid lamb.
-Edward: What a sick, masochistic lion.
-Edward: The blush on your cheeks is lovely.
-Edward: Are you still faint from the run? Or was it my kissing expertise?
-Edward: In the last hundred years or so, I never imagined anything like this. I didn’t believe I would ever find someone I wanted to be with… in another way than my brothers and sisters. And then to find, even though it’s all new to me, that I’m good at it… at being with you…
-Edward: What am I going to do with you? Yesterday I kiss you, and you attack me! Today you pass out on me!
New Moon-Bella:
Well, Gran, you might have noticed that my boyfriend glitters. It’s just something he does in the sun. Don’t worry about it…-Jacob: If this is how you’re going to react, I’ll freak out more often.
-Bella: Did you know, you’re sort of beautiful?
-Jacob: What a marshmallow.
-Edward: You’re not asleep, and you’re not dead. I’m here, and I love you. I have always loved you, and I will always love you. I was thinking of you, seeing your face in my mind, every second that I was away. When I told you that I didn’t want you, it was the very blackest kind of blasphemy.
-Edward: Before you, Bella, my life was like a moonless night. Very dark, but there were stars—points of light and reason… And then you shot across my sky like a meteor. Suddenly everything was on fire; there was brilliancy, there was beauty. When you were gone, when the meteor had fallen over the horizon, everything went black. Nothing had changed, but my eyes were blinded by the light. I couldn’t see the stars anymore. And there was no more reason for anything.
-Edward: You will always be the most beautiful thing in my world.
Eclipse-Jacob: I miss you every day, Bella. It’s not the same without you.
-Edward: I’ll be back so soon you won’t have time to miss me. Look after my heart — I’ve left it with you.
-Jacob: Did you seriously just stamp your foot? I thought girls only did that on TV.
-Edward: You’re quite adorable when you’re jealous. It’s surprisingly enjoyable.
-Jacob: Does my being half-naked bother you?
-Edward: Do me a favor and challenge him to an arm-wrestling match. It would be a good experience for him.
-Jacob: I’m in love with you, Bella. Bella, I love you. And I want you to pick me instead of him. I know you don’t feel that way, but I need the truth out there so that you know your options. I wouldn’t want a miscommunication to stand in our way.
-Jacob: You love me, too. Not the same way, I know. But he’s not your whole life, either. Not anymore. Maybe he was once, but he left. And now he’s just going to have to deal with the consequence of that choice — me.
-Jacob: Until your heart stops beating, Bella. I’ll be here — fighting. Don’t forget that you have options.
-Jacob: When he left, you spent all your energy holding on to him. You could be happy if you let go. You could be happy with me.
-Jacob: Next time you want to hit me, use a baseball bat or a crowbar, okay?
-Bella: I punched a werewolf in the face.
-Edward: I’ll be fighting for her, too. You should know that. I’m not taking anything for granted, and I’ll be fighting twice as hard as you will.
-Edward: Bella. Would you please stop trying to take your clothes off?
-Edward: Isabella Swan? I promise to love you forever — every single day of forever. Will you marry me?
-Jacob: Does that mean that he’s a better kisser that I am?
-Jacob: According to you, you’ve kissed just one person — who isn’t even really a person — in your whole life, and you’re calling it quits? How do you know that’s what you want? Shouldn’t you play the field a little?
-Jacob: You could kiss me, for example. I don’t mind if you want to use me to experiment.
-Jacob: I think it’s easier for you to be near me when I’m not human, because you don’t have to pretend that you’re not attracted to me.
-Edward: You know, Jacob, if it weren’t for the fact that we’re natural enemies and that you’re also trying to steal away the reason for my existence, I might actually like you.
-Edward: Would you like me to help you sleep, Jacob?
