Ok this weeks Races will be for gold since that is the main reason it was made so let the races begin.
And as for the Poll it has come to my attention that there is no clear cut way to determine the winner so you guys will help me out with this. (Note: I will get 5 votes or I will just redo the poll in the main forums)

volgon... you should probably keep yer races to one thread, so the rules are clearly stated where the bets are being placed... also, we should post a notice in the main forum that the races are up and running... in fact i'll do it right now for ye... in the meantime.. i'll be sending ye 1000 gold and ye use that dart i gave ye last week... and don't forget... put it all on the bacon mrgreen

The whole “closest without going over” hardly seems fair. Say that 99 were rolled and someone bet 100 and someone else bet 98. Why should the 98 get all of the gold? If we couldn't go over, it'd be a race to get to bet on the numbers 40 - 50, because logically they would be the most likely to be closest without going over.
If the jackpot was simply split, it would allow a more level playing field (bets 40 - 60 would be reasonable) rather than making this game some sort of mad dash for a number.

Plus when we add the announcements we can continue a race and have a new one going at the same time.

Well betting is over and I will take the bets now...most of you have already done the trade but this is mostly just in case so I'll roll for it tomorrow around noon (probably 15 hours for anyone not in this time zone) and who ever wins I hope you had fun.
Note: Lyssan I will try the keeping it to one forum for now but if it doesn't work I'll go back to one race per forum ok?

We need to talk it up. Ask members to participate and such. Remind them when they post answers to riddles or put one up, things like that. They are not used to going to another subforum for contests as yet. Not sure of the rules for posting it else where, not within the guild, but ye could also try that. If you are looking for non-guild participation. Just make sure ye follow whatever they want ye to do. I got raked gently across the coals when we first got the guild up and running because i advertised our new fledgling guild in the forums but didn't have it titled correctly. They were nice and told me what I had to do to get it right, but it usually helps to get it right the first time.

Ok well this is going to be hard to kick off so I'll start putting a request to participate somewhere probably my sig or other places.
Well without further ado(or however you spell it) the winner for this week is...Yuki-Zilla with her Lamb Chops Congratz on it hitting your number directly your winnings are: 1350 gold, 150 is being donated to the Guild Mule, and an extra 500 gold for being the exact number (I figured there should be a prize for that hope you don't mind mrgreen )
