Anyone read the orginal Frankenstein novel? I did and I liked it. smile I don't think I'll ever read it a second time, but it was good nonetheless.
I felt a bit bi-polar as I was reading it xd since one chapter would be happy and the next wold be depressing. Then, it would joyous again before going back to sad. It was as if the chapters made a pattern.
I was very glad that by chance I had read Paradise Lost before I'd read Frankenstein because so many of the references would've gone over my head if I hadn't. For anyone that hasn't read it yet, I recommend reading at least the prologue of Paradise Lost by John Milton first because you'll appreciate Frankenstein much more if you do. whee

Guh. I read a lot of Paradise Lost. It was okay, but rather ecstatic in its mode of writing, so after a while it got weird and sleep-inducing. I think Milton had ISSUES.
Frankenstein is on my list of books I'd like to read; as yet I've only seen the movie. But once I finish the series I'm re-reading, next up is the unabridged The Three Musketeers. I found it in a used book shop for $2.50! surprised I promise I'll review it when I read it.

I'll look forward to reading your thoughts after you read it. ^_^
Ooh, you know, I should make an Alexandre Dumas thread... *goes to do that* exclaim
