Hi everyone I'm looking for a new series to read I've read hundreds of books already ((and I swear I could start my own library with the books my brother and I have)) but I digress I'm looking for something new to read I like science fiction fantasy books, I don't like the ones that are full of robots or something like that but I am willing to give a book a chance

Some Authors/Series/Books I've already read are sad (I'll update this when I remember more))

Brian Jaques (sp?)
Anne McCaffery ((all the Pern series))
Greg Keys ((kingdoms of thorn and bone))
Robert Jordon ((excluding the last which has yet to come out))
Robbin Hobbs ((Farseer trilogy working on the others now))
Dragon Lance series ((at least 50 of them after a while they were predictable and boring))
Tracy and Laura Hickman ((Bronze Chronicles))
Lord of the Rings trilogy
Harry Potter series
Terry Brooks ((yes I suffered through the entire series of the Elf Stone. I was hoping that perhaps the plot would change....sadly I was disastrously disappointed))
Inheritance cycle
A Christmas Carol
Black Beauty
Tangerine
I, Robot
The Giver ((this is one of the best books I've ever read!))
Speak
Romeo and Juliet

I would really appreciate any suggestions thanks biggrin

Could you tell me a little more about it? The tittle sounds interesting but unfortunately I've learned better then to trust a tittle.

Um Okay Enders game is about a war between humanity and a race of aliens called the Buggers, We fought them in two wars. Barly getting by both wars. Its been 50 or so years since the last war, humanity has gone on with its daily life. Well except for the fact that we have a single government and a giant space school for the most gifted children in the wrold, where they are trained to become commanders in the UF fleet. The story revolves aroud a Boy named Andrew Wiggin, Aka Ender. He is a third child which can only happen with specil permission from the government. All the Military is betting that he is the one who can save humanity. Seeing as his brother was to violent, and his sister to kind hearted. Read the book to find out what the fate of humainty is.

Maximum Ride all the way. It's about this group of mutant avine kids. They are expiriments and have wings. There are a whole bunch of people trying to catch them and eitheir kill them or to do more test on them. Lots of action, a little romance. NOt a lot tho. I love them. Of course, i luv anything fantasy...most of the time. You should at least check out the website or something.

Read anything by E.E. Knight.
Go.
NOW.
Run.
O__O;
But I'm serious...
Knight has extremely good books out there, and they're all very fun and unique. c: I own every book he has written.

My favorite series of his is the Age of Fire series. c: It's about three dragon siblings and their adventures across their world...The series is currently four books strong, and the fifth book is coming out December 09 (Which I am SO excited for!).
Since I'm too lazy to explain it, here's a link to the Wikipedia article on the series.
Check out the Vampire Earth series as well...It's sci-fi wonderfulness. <3
Sorry, I'm a huge Knight fan...he's so unknown and writes SO much better than that awful Stephanie Meyer...he deserves her fame. DDDD:
Okay...Cyu is done.

Since you're famillier with Anne McCafferey, try reading one of her lesser known series. The one I'm reading at the moment is her 'Acorna' series. I find it to be quite interesting, though the second book can be a bit confusing up untill about the 8th chapter.

couple of suggestions.

if you've read Anne McCaffery, try reading the books her son helped with and the ones he wrote. they are all relatively new and Todd adds a definite change to the series, but one for the good, not the kind of one you might have expected.

also, try reading the "Otherland" series by Tadd Williams (i think.) its been a few years since i read those and the books were destroyed when a water line in my wall soaked my bookshelf for a few hours. anyways, if you like something sci-fi and completely bizarre, the Otherland series is great for you.

also, try reading "The Dreamers" series by David and Leigh Eddings. Those books are really out there and are pretty unique (from what ive read) i'd suggest them if you want something strange and new.

Ever Read the Maximum Ride series? By James Patterson? thats is BY FAR one of my FAVORITE series.

It is about a group of so-called Test Tube babies who were created by "The School" They are a cross between human and avian, with fully functional bird wings. As the story progresses it gets better and better and more into our modern time.

There are currently 5 books out, including a Manga (which I hear sucks terribly)

If you love action and fantasy (sorta) you'll love the series I promise you. =3

Two other people have put this, but Max Ride. biggrin Love it.

But, what I really wanted to mention was Percy Jackson and the Olympians by Rick Riordan. It's about a boy named Percy Jackson (no duh) whose father is one of the Greek gods. I can't really explain anymore, for fear of giving stuff away, but it's a great modern fantasy story. Good humor, action, and descriptive words.

Another one, the Peter and the Starcatchers series. it's like a prelude to Peter Pan. You find out how Peter met Captain Hook, how he got to Never Land, why he went specifically to the Darling House, and how he met Tinker Bell. It's a wonderful series. It's by David Barry and Ridley Pearson. I just had to look up who read it because I forgot, and apparently, theres a new book out, and now I am ecstatic to go to Barnes and Nobles to get it. X3

Yes i would second Ender's Game and Maximum Ride! Both series are very good. An oldie but goodie that i love with my heart and soul are the Alice and Wonderland books... yes there are two. Alice In Wonderland then Alice Through the Looking Glass and What she found there. I love the Ellen Hopkins books to! I've read Crank, Glass, Burned and Impulse and am eagerly awaiting to buy Tricks and Identical! Warning... these books are full of sex, drugs, bad decisions and a rare happy ending.... like maybe one has kind of a happy ending that's totally blown away... so no... no real happy endings. Speaking of which 13 reasons why! GAWD I LOVED IT!!! It's were this girl killed her self and recorded all the reasons why on these tapes and each person on the tape must listen to them then pass them on to the next person. So you read when it's Clay's turn and it's just so tragic.... it almost made me cry! Believe me... that is a good one!

you should read "city of bones" and "city of ashes" and "city of glass" their totally awesome books and i was very sad when i finished reading them because i wanted to read more lol. its about this girl who finds out she can see these mysterious people who hunt demons (in the story, demons are creatures from different dementions that don't belong here.). and she starts helping them fight valentine (who used to be one of the people fighting demons, but went rogue and is trying to destroy them.) in the stories there's demons, angels, vampires, werewolves, witches and warlocks (which are people with powers because one of their parents was a demon.) napharm (i think theats how you spell it. their the people who hunt demons.) they have powers too, but they have powers because they all have some angel blood inside them.

the books are full of twists and turns and it's practically exciting until the very last page. and it's very hard to guess what'll happen next because there's so many surprises. blaugh blaugh blaugh
