This year with all the confusing with the new BD and stuff and him still making the drills and things for the band. Us CG don't have a routine yet. Today was our second day of camp.We got to bored cuz we had nothing to learn. (Our CG instructor had a doctor apt today) After lunch we break into sectional to work on flags and music. Well we had did our warms and things and practice for about two hours and some of the upperclassmen showed us some toss that we didn't know. Well, That still left us with about 3-4 hrs left to practices. We got so bored with that we did our stenches and had spin competitions.

Does you Guard have your drills/flag work yet?

We have a little of our work learned, flag and sabre, but we haven't learned any drill yet. The guard hasn't even worked with the band as a while yet, we will starting next week. We have rookie camp this week. Next week is fundamentals camp, then the real "band camp." We don't learn drill till actual band camp week. I'm sure it's been written though. Or at least close to it.

This year we didn't have Rockie week cuz we didn't know how the new bd was until like not last weds but the weds before. So we are doing everything in two weeks. We didn't even have tryout for CG this year. But the funny thing is we have learned more then we have last year already.

Usually my camp is about a week long (used to be two weeks, but we got a new BD) and we spend the first two days working on technique and teaching the newbs how to march, and then we start learning our drill on the third day. For color guard, we start learning our routine from the second half of the first day on. The first half of the first day is running over basics with the newbs, but we usually don't have too many newbs (or people for that matter) so we end up being pretty efficient.

We're in our second week of camp and we have our opening number worked out. (polishing next!) and we started working on our second number.

We're moving pretty quickly. It can be frustrating though because there are some holding places we need to work out because we move totally different than the band does >.<

We have warm up things and basics, that about it. We have learned a bit of work but we were just fooling around with stuff that we might put in the show. If you guys ever find your self in that position again that i would say just keep working with what you got. Don't stop because you have no work. The more you work on stuff the better it gets.

We have about all of our flag work done and written. We just need to get the closer done.

The parallel toss she showed us we're doing is gonna give me nightmares ._.

Last day of camp. Have the first two songs on the field. They are decent looking, depends on the run through and everyone's mental attitude at the time. But we won't practice together for better than a week, then we have four practices before our first game. Which is an away. Not to mention the band has new people coming in on the first day of school, which is s**t.
