PAY CLOSE ATTENTION TO THE PICTURE OF THE DEAD WOMAN WHERE AL SAYS, "The thing we brought back wasn't even human anymore."
Since Lust isn't human, and since she kinda looks like their mom (Ed and Al's mom is shown in Ed's nightmare in 2)...
Do you think that Ed and Al's mom became Lust?! Just a theory.

No, a homunculus isn't formed when human transmutation is preformed (like the anime says) but when 'father' desires it. So that means there is little to no chance Lust is there mother, as the there would be no direct connection between Trisha and 'Father'.
*Also Lust is like what, 400 years old, so she was around way before Ed and Al's Mother.*
