I ONLY HAVE BOOKS 1-4 RIGHT NOW. IT TAKES ME A LONG TIME TO GET MORE.
FOR THOSE OF YOU THAT ONLY HAVE 1-4, I REALLY HOPE YOU PAID DECENT ATTENTION, BECAUSE THIS IS GONNA BE LONG.
Ok, so remember in 2, how Scar is an alchemist, but he only kills state alchemists from East City?
And remember in 4, how Kimbley that arsonist, has those possible alchemical transmutation triangles on his palms? And he says how the genocide in East City made him happy?
And remember near the end of 4, how Scar is having that dream, and a guy comes out and says he's the one who started the civil war? Did you notice that he had the SAME triangles on his palms as Kimbley?
And remember in 2, how it was said that an army officer shot a child who was an Ishvarlan, 13 years ago?
Did you ever think that maybe Kimbley, since he loves the genocide so much, is the one who shot that child and started the war?
And, at the end of 4, Scar tells the Ishvarlan kid in the slums how the symbols on his arm is a "precious gift" that his family gave him. Maybe that's how he uses his killer alchemy?
Maybe he lost his family, and blames it on the state alchemists, since it's possible that KIMBLEY started the war?
Maybe that child who got shot was his kid or somethin'!!!
What do YOU think? Yes, I pay CLOSE attention to what I read.

you are wayyyyy off....... Scar is only in his early twenties, never even had a girlfriend, and is a monk who is forbidden from having sex (so no kids.)
Scar is pissed because Kimblee killed his brother. (the one who's arm is now Scar's) so technically Scar isn't an alchemist. (also, the arm is technically Alkehsty not Alchemy so that makes Scar's brother an Alkehstist.)
the war was done simply to have a massacre, the reasons why i won't spoil.... but you really need to catch up, there are now 22 volumes out.
