I was planning on buying one but im not sure about which i would enjoy. I would like HONEST Opinions about either one and why you feel that you'd prefer it. Personally I played Infamous but not Prototype.

Standers37 inFamous. There. But seriously, get it. My friend got Prototype and played it for 2 days. He now regrets buying it. ouch....thanks for the advice i saw a few video comparisons and they look so evenly matched. im on gaia via PS3 browser BTW

ive heard that prototype was crap
its made by the same people that made the hulk game
and its basically running through the same engine
i would highly recommend infamous.
plus ive also heard the replay value prototype is really bad
and all of the missions get redundant

Prototype isn't bad, you can do some pretty satisfying things in that game (kicking a chopper out of the air).
But all in all, Infamous is by far the superior game, every aspect of it is flawless.
Rent Prototype, BUY Infamous.

My friend got Infamous and I was wondering on the same question about which to buy. My friend said Infamous was amazing and I believed Prototype to be crap due to a review and I looked around...Prototype doesn't seem so bad. I say buy which appeals to you more. Prototype = cool power (I guess you can say) variety, consuming people, amazing moves, and taking on a bunch of cops and tanks and helicopters, can't say about replayablitity but I'm sure it's there. Infamous = Superhero/Infamous decisions, definite replayablitity, and cool lightning powers to upgrade. I heard that Infamous had an amazing ending in the story though. 3nodding I think I personally will go with Prototype but only because my friend can let me barrow Infamous. ninja

You should get InFamous, easily.

Although I have not played Prototype, the rant that one of the GGB members just gave about the game makes me want to stay very far away from it. 3nodding

you should get prototype if your focus lies on action. if you like action and story.. get infamous (by the way infamous looks much better)

I got Prototype when it came out. Why Prototype? Well I really did not like the design for Cole from inFamous. I also thought the electic power idea was kind of lame. After I beat Prototype I did regret buying it. After a while o not playing it I pulled it out and started working on tropys. I have almost platnumed the game. I will admit it has it's bugs... however once you get the hang of it and know what your doing it is pretty fun. So there I bought Prototype, hated it, but I now enjoy it. I just wished they would not have nerfed the online mutiplayer they had going. That would have made things fun.
