okay first off im a trombone....
so in my band class there's this guy that can't play a glissando. He's a freshmen trombone... and he's played longer than i have... but he can't play a gliss!!! that's like the first thing you want learn to play on the trombone! you put air through the horn and move the slide. simple(-ish). and now he wont stop bothering me!!!

Yeah, at my school, we learned glissandos first year. Does he say why he can't gliss? If you can play a note, you can gliss.

The first thing I ever did when I got my trombone in the 5th grade was a glis. Or something close to it. I just put air through it and let go of the slide... which then fell to the gorund... but thats not the point... A glissando is super easy for trombone players.

yeah a gliss on Trombone is just putting air in the horn and moving the slide

O.o We didn't learn that till' 7th grade, but the trombones in my class couldn't play loud enough. Thank goodness the 8th grade ones wanted to be loud.
