Book: Let's go with..."Thud!" by Terry Pratchett, "Anansi Boys" by Neil Gaiman, and of course "The Lord of the Rings" by JRR Tolkien. This is completely leaving out Robert Jordan and JK Rowling, but only because I like their *series* and can't pick any one favorite volume. Celebrity: Brad Pitt. He's the only celebrity who's ever answered a political question by saying, "Yeah, I have an opinion, but that shouldn't matter, because I'm an actor, not someone who knows what's going on there."
