anyways, since it might take a while to set it up (and since people will probably be distracted with gaia's promegeddon) maybe we should start this sometime after the whole prom thing ends so people will be more involved with it and stuff.
for a theme, all i can think about is making it be some kind of aniversary or celebration about the hotel.

O_o wow...no one's posted here in quite a while.... stare you people really need to be more creative...
anyways, i have another idea!!!!!!!!!! rofl dramallama *does a little victory dance* pirate
ninja *cough cough* sweatdrop um...anyway i was just noticing that there really hasn't been much activity in the arena's subforum (more like absolutely none...) so i was just wondering if we could maybe host some kind of tournament. then maybe those guys who attacked the hotel before could get involved if someone were to play them? just to add some excitment and maybe that will get people to post a lot more.
i've had an rp before in gaia's forums a while ago that was a tournament one and i still have all the rules for it and stuff. (they're kinda long and i'm not sure if anyone wants to have teams or not but we can shorten them down and edit them as needed). i've also been improving them over the past few months. so in other words i have the basic set-up planned out. i'm willing to pm them to the captain to see what you think then see how the crew wants to edit them or whatever.
i'm willing to donate some gold for a prize (or any items?). of course people can add to that to make everything more interesting and to encourage people to want to participate in it.

We have talked about tournaments in the Crew Chat subforum before. However it seems unanimous that too many people have character that are just too powerful. I personally have noted people who apparently have high pain thresholds and immortality with previously posting it in their bio.

i guess you're probably right though since a lot of people have things like that. i saw a few profiles in there that didn't have any special powers like that but i've noticed that those people don't post much.
in that case just forget my idea then. xp

The idea has merits within it's limits we just need to figure out how to work most of it out. Not to mention I don't see many other vice-captains around anymore...well at least not on as much as I tend to be.

I believe two of the vice captains haven't posted since may, which is saying something. I know I'm one of the invincibility people, but if we did do the tournament, it definitely wouldn't make me unbeatable. I've said it millions of times, my character can't die, but she can be beaten. Actually, I usually make really powerful characters and just make them lose with style all the time, whereas my weaker characters always pull off clever skin-of-their-teeth victories.
And I can't really think of anything right now, I'm usually really creative with this kind of stuff, but I usually plan things in peices and let the event unfold via the people RPing. Thats why I like running thread-based RPs more than Guild RPs, its easier to see what everyone's doing. But I'll try to force an idea out anyway...

that's similar to what i'm like. even though genevieve can't die, most of her strong talents take so much energy to use so in the end it leaves her exhausted and weak. then for david and katrina, even though they're not as strong, they're both good fighters.
>.< i guess we can't do the tournament though. emo it was a pretty good idea too... o____o unless of course we barred everyone who was too strong from entering. xp
another, smaller idea i just came up with though: maybe we should try to pm the people who haven't been posting? ninja i don't know if it's just me, but i've noticed that people aren't posting as much as they used to so it would be nice to get them back again.

I could do that too, being a vice-captain and all, its kind of my duty. I can probably start on sunday, only day of the week I don't work.
And Its not really an Idea for the whole guild, but people can feel free to join in on the mini side-arc I'm going to make between my two characters in the city. Not going into details, I like to keep 'em guessing ninja but its nothing that will screw with what's already going on.
