I read Interview with the Vampire until page 117. I was so bored that I stopped reading it. That's the extent of what I have read by her, but she's a famous novelist, so I figured that she deserved a thread.

I have read all of the Vampire Chronicles and the first of the Mayfair Witches series.

Queen of the Damned was my favorite, Lestat narrates that book and he is sarcastic, hiliarious and just fun to read about. The plot to the book was very exciting as well. Tale of the Body Thief disoppointed me, I expected the arrogant and funny character I had met in the previous novel only to be met by an old cranky man version of Lestat. Though some parts of the novel were good, the character's personality just didn't stay consistant enough.

The Witching Hour: Book 1 of the Mayfair Witches was fascinating. It deals with the entire history of a family with really unique and fascinating characters. Julian and Stella were my favorites. Julian was the most powerful male in the family and Stella lived in the 1920's. How cool! The only downside was the ending (which I don't want to give away) but being only the first novel, it may fix that later...

I liked her as a writer overall. Rice has good points and bad points like every writer. ^_^

I love sarcasm, so I might like Queen of the Damned...I loved the Interview with the Vampire film even though the book bored me.

I liked the first film as well, I didn't really like the Queen of the Damned movie though. It was so less than epic compared to the book, the music for the Queen of the Damned movie was amazing though.

Likewise, I really enjoyed the movie Interview with a Vampire. ^^
My mother is a HUGE fan of Ann Rice, but I myself have yet to read any of her novels.
