▌■well yes, if you are someone like me, you fall in love with one item each time have an update (lol, this is bad for gold count...), and then you wait for tektek to get the poses, and debate wheter to buy it or not, but (at least for me) the big question is, "what happens with my art? D:"
i feel this way when i change my hair/eyes/eye color, i felt in love with this outfit, but i had some art with my past avatar, and i can´t draw so, i feel i wasted all my old art ;_;
so yeah, have this ever happened to you?
does the fact of buying or getting good art as a gift, does it makes you not want to change your avatar?

that is precisely the reason I made a few OCs. besides, OC art is so fun to get and draw. (:
but, yes, I had that problem so much... I kept an orange ponytail for four-five years cause I was sad about the arts.
but now I understand that art is still meaningful. ^ ^

i don't buy or ask for avatar art for that reason (but i think it's okay if you buy it and change your look, cuz it's a memory preserved? )
then again... i change the look of my oc's all the time orz

▌■;.; still, my gallery have mixed pieces, even when they dont look anything like my avatar (grey hair/eyes) XD i still love it, the art is there, but that magical "look how my avatar look in this art style ;P" feeling isnt there XD■▐

Ah..I collect more about art styles than just my avatar. Even if I change avatars, as long as the person draw for me at that moment makes me happy. ~w~

Aww~ Yeah, I usually don't ask for avi art since I'm always changing my outfits. XD I stopped making myself flobs for that reason, I just don't quite keep the avatar for very long. >__>;;;
However, it's harder for me to choose an OC to have drawn. :< I have more than a handful and though it'd be fun to get more art done of them I have horrible references so I don't want to subject anyone to it. >__>

thats why i only have one avi i get art for it mite change alittle bit over time but still basely the same avi

Personally, getting art of multiple avatars of mine makes the idea of collecting art more exciting. o: I like variety.
Fortunately, I have unlimited funds to spend on art. The hardest thing is just finding an artist who has open slots / willing to take bribes. xd

What stays the same for me is:
- Hairstyle/Hair color
- Star tattoo
- Glasses
- Ear piercing
And I stick with one outfit for quite a while.
So I'm good with the whole art thing. C:

I keep the same hair color and styles, plus, the same eye color for all my avis so its consistent in aviart

hmm I've actually never stuck to one avi so all my avi arts different, though I do feel like nothing distinguishes my avi art from another cause my avi's art always change. But it also takes away that feeling of not being able to change your avi even when newer items come out that you like.

Ohes yes i can understand that a lot<3 but i do like getting art of my different avatars i have a few set fave avatars i ahve quite a lot of art for though <333
I have over 100 of my own avatars saved on photobucket OTL but there are always a few set faves C:
and, i like things to match, like when i got the art in my post i wanted to hop skip n jump back to that avatar XD and dig one out of that avatar to have as my sig @_@
