Vampirates is a series by Justin Somper.
I only read the first one and - even though it was good - I don't plan on reading the rest. I love the plot, but the descriptions about the darkness that's going on isn't graphic enough because the series is for children. If it was written more for adults, I would LOVE it because the plotline is so good.
