UPDATE So we also decided that we'll be going to the Nightmare fear factory at Niagara Falls. GTR is stoked as hell, me not so much because I can't handle scary s**t at all. I mean Dracula dead and loving it gave me nightmares! So, anyone been to this attraction and have any helpful hints? How about helpful hints for not shitting your pants? Apparently this place is so scary that this week alone 188 people couldn't continue through the house. I don't want to be a chicken gonk but I also told GTR that I would do it because he wants me to be there with him. And I just can't hide it. Ba ba ba ba ba. I know, I know, I know, I know I want you. Ok on to the actual subject. GTR AND I ARE GOING ON VACATION! Not anything big, just to Niagara Falls, but still! We're going to have 5 whole days to ourselves! We're going to be able to go out and do stuff as a couple again. We'll be able to re-energize ourselves and we'll have an AWESOME time! We discovered that we needed this because a few nights ago we had GTR's sister watch our kids so we could go to the movies. We managed to watch Wolverine and Fast and Furious Both were super good! Then we drove to Barrie, went to a sex shop, went out to a lake, made out like good ol' times, came home and got funky with it. However by the time we got home we were both super tired, and that really sucked. So we decided that since a night without the kids wasn't enough to re-energize us, maybe a few more nights are needed. Plus it would be great for us to have more to our relationship than just our kids and sex. On our last day we'll be going to Wonderland. I really wanted to go because GTR wants to go super bad. However after having children, my stomach is super weak now. Like so bad where GTR can pick me up spin me like 5 times and I'm down and out for a half hour trying NOT to vomit. SO I really hope that I can go on some of these rides. I also have an unreasonable fear of roller coasters, so anything helpful like tips or tricks to getting over fears and possibly sickness of spinning and being upside down would be awesome! Feel free to talk about your own experiences at Wonderland or other amusement parks as well!

You're about to loose your mind and you think you like it .... xd ahem, sorry it just had to be done. Boy have I listened to that song way to long. I'll stop hijacking thread now.
I not overly fond of amusement parks. Crowds of people, expensive bad for you food, and not particularly good for you roller coasters.... don't really like most roller coasters. Some things are fun to ride though; I like water slides mostly.

Hope you two have lots of fun and also get lots of rest and relaxation in too!

Firstly. congrats on some alone time. I don't even have kids, and I'm grateful for every day without any. lol
Secondly, theme parks are awesome. I too love rollercoasters and the ones where you fall down the most, the opposite of them, however, you know...the ones where you get into some ride at the bottom and it brinsg you all the up a huge tower and spins you around at the top? No thanks. gonk

Thanks guys! ^_^ I can't stand the feeling of being weightless. For whatever reason it makes me feel like every organ in my body is about to take it's leave through my mouth! eek I haven't been on a roller coaster in YEARS so I'm really hoping I'll be ok. I don't seem to be able to handle continuous motions. Going around and around and around makes me sick. I'm not sure but the last time I was upside down in a ride, the salt and pepper shaker, I felt sick as a dog. So I'm hoping that things will be different on a roller coaster. Originally we were going to go to B.C and back but we just don't have the cash for that this month.

On rollercoasters if you try any, scream on the way down. Makes it better, at least for me. Felt worse when I didn't and just made the constipated face.

God-Raped-Me I can't stand the feeling of being weightless. For whatever reason it makes me feel like every organ in my body is about to take it's leave through my mouth! eek I'm the same way. sweatdrop I even have issues on ferris wheels. I went to Wonderland when I was...14? And the only rides my brothers wanted to go on were the rollercoasters, but I could see lots of other attractions, even if I didn't get to go on them. Definitely go on the newer rollercoasters, if you go on any at all. The older wooden ones are safe, but they'll rattle your bones. @_@ It was so unpleasant, I couldn't focus on anything else. I don't mind spinning. I get dizzy, but never nauseous from that particular motion. The dizzyness is kind of like being drunk, without the unpleasant bits. xD Unfortunately, most people seem to be bothered by spinning like that, so I can't find many people willing to go on the same rides as me. I hope you guys enjoy your vacation!

My aunt is the same way with roller coasters. She loves them, but after three kids her stomach and equilibrium get all messed up and she can't ride anything for 30 minutes or more. Ginger always seems to help settle her stomach. Little ginger candies or pills can be found at probably any natural/health food store.

Tae, I sometimes have issues on ferris wheels. I don't know why it happens some times and other times it doesn't. I hoping, because of the ferris wheel thing for me, that I'll be able to do all the roller coasters! Ginger ale works for my stomach, so if I get urkey, I'll have to get some pop and see if it'll work.

I hate people who scream on amusement park rides almost as much as I hate people who scream for no good reason on other occasions. If you're screaming, it had better be an honest to God, call-911 emergency.
That being said, I don't like roller coasters because I always think they're going to break out from under me. I went on the roller coaster at K-Days a couple of years ago because jimsheep reeeeeally wanted me to go on with him. I hate the adrenaline rush, it makes me feel sick and panicky, and yeah. It's just not fun. I can, however, cross that off the list of things that I want to do before I die!
I spent one day in Niagara Falls, mostly just at the actual falls themselves, as our bus broke down and we had to spend an additional 3 hours beyond what was planned while we waited for someone to come fix it. We then had to postpone the concert we were performing by an hour, and still didn't have time to change before going on stage, so we threw our robes on over our street clothes. The place where we sang had the acoustics of a pillow warehouse... our voices stopped about 1 foot out of our mouths. we couldn't hear ourselves, never mind each other. We were billeted in Niagara falls, so I know absolutely nothing about the acoomodations there. All I know is it snowed on the day we left Edmonton and the snow followed us through Regina, Winnipeg, and Thunder Bay, and then wen we got to Niagara on the Lake, it was sunny and there was green grass and it was like seeing in colour for the first time in months. Then everyone got sunburnt at the Falls due to having pasty white Edmonton winter skin.
Regarding the scary stuff, maybe it would help to analyze the mechanics behind it? Does it help to know how they are producing the special effects that make things spooky?

redface I'll probably totally be one of those people who scream on the roller coaster. I know all the spooky stuff is fake even in movies and what not, but they still manage to scare me for whatever reason. You know I didn't even think of this until now, but whenever I have GTR beside me when we watch something scary... I can usually watch it. I've watched far more scary movies with him than I ever have. I'll have to get him to sit me down and watch something scary tonight maybe. I may not be as much of a p***y as I thought I was.

I didn't think I was capable of screaming like I did on the rollercoasters. o_O I didn't know I had it in me. It wasn't voluntary, exactly, and everyone else was screeching.

GRM IS A p***y!!! gonk gonk gonk That night I decided to watch a scary movie with GTR. I thought I'll work my up through the horror flicks from old to newer. Well I chose Evil Dead. I knew it wasn't a very scary movie, especially after watching Army of Darkenss, I figured it would be a crappy "horror" flick and something great to start with. I couldn't finish it. We got about half way in and the gore was just too damn much. GTR told me that we still had to kill the girlfriend and the wife. I said ******** it! I can't do it! That's right Evil Dead was just too much for me. I'm a giant p***y. About 10 minutes later I was going down the stairs when GTR runs as fast as he can at me from out of our room. that scared the s**t out of me SO badly I cried. I think I'm going to die!
