Why become a Mogul Critic?

Since there is no way in all of Mother Earth that I can review 3 things at once (not to mention how much we can expect if this really gets off the ground), I'll need help. Becoming a Mogul Critic will help me, the community, and even you. Yeah, you! Read on to find out how.

So what do I get for being a Mogul Critic?

I knew you'd ask, and I have your answer. Since the Moguls who are being reviewed are getting gold, why not the reviewers? I wouldn't leave you guys out. There are 3 groups of Mogul Critics. The MCA, the Mogul Critics of Artisan, the MCD, the Mogul Critics of Directors, and the MCP, the Mogul Critics of Players. Each group have a different agenda, and will be paid according to their agenda. The objective and payout will be explained in detail in the following paragraph.

The Mogul Critics of Directors, the reviewers for story/fanfic writers, earn gold for each review. Nothing to complicated about it. But in order to make it so that not one MCD monopolizes the review, a MCD will have to consult his team about doing a review. This will help keep a MCD from reviewing multiple stories/fanfics without his team getting the oppurtunity to do a review.

  • The gold earning is 1000g a review, regardless of review given.
  • Three Moguls will make up the Mogul Critics of Directors. If the team request that another MCD is added, I'll look into it and do so accordingly.
  • MCD are to give fair and unbiased rates. Anyone found taking bribes, or showing favoritism in their review will be removed from the team, and potentially from the Guild.

The Mogul Critics of Artisan, the reviewers of artist, will follow the same format of MCD.

The Mogul Critics of Players, the reviewers of RPers, will follow a slightly different approach.

Since RPs are much more active, I have to go about this one differently yet again. You've been explained how the RPers go about reviewing in the "How to get a review" thread. To further elaborate, a team meeting decides who actively reviews the RP. The RP doesn't even have to come to an end before the MCP who was reviewing the RP selects the winners (you do have to at least stick around long enough to see the person's character progress). The ideal MCP are the same as the other two. No bribery and no favoritism. The team consist of five Moguls and your gold earning is 1500g each review.

How do I become a Mogul Critic?

Joining a team share similiar standard. You have to be well-known and established in the position you want to be a Critic of. If you're critiquing art, you have to be an artist (don't even have to be excellent, just understanding). Same for the others. To apply, you'll send me a PM with a resume (nothing to professional, just so I know why you want to be a MC and if you fit for the position) and I'll either get back to you with an acceptance or a decline.

Rules to abide by

Once you do become a MC, you have to follow some simple rules that will ensure that you keep your job.

  • Repeated for good measure, no bribery and no favoritism.
  • Absenses need to be informed to the team and I. According to your work ethics, we'll reserve your job.
  • Along with absenses, you must be fairly active. Anyone who's not active without reason, will be removed.
  • Be cooperative with your team. if I'm told that the team is having problems with you, the matter will be looked into and dealt with according to the outcome.
  • As long as you do your job to the best of your ability, you'll continue to keep your position.

P.S. You are allowed to be the recipient of a review. As with anyone else, you are subject to the rules of the Mogul Critics. Favoritism is strongly discouraged in this scenario.

Until I revise this thread, here's some more detailed info I got to help out reviewers and critics
Seth Cash

Once we get Critics, I'll post them up and let the users know that they're allowed to get reviewed. For them to get reviewed, especially in the MPC's case, they'll have to join an RP that is subject to be reviewed (They'll have to have the words "review" in either the title, the first post, or both. I recommend it be in the title)

Once 10 people are in the RP, the review team can follow the RP and pick five overall RPers. The team can get together and decide the placement of the Rpers (from 1st to 5th). It doesn't matter if there are 50 people in the RP, only 5 will be selected as winners.

Another thing to note is that the team can decide on the winners as soon as they want. Althought the longer, the better (obviously). Also, after the winners have been decided, the RP can continue, but no more winners can be selected in that RP.

After the RPers are selected and given their proper placement, one of the team members who participated in the review of the RP can create a thread in the same forum showing the winners and their placement. From there, I'll give the gold to the winners, and also the gold to the reviewers (please note that the reviewer must post the Critics that participated in the review in the thread, just in case I've forgotten)

The resume is simple, just alittle about yourself and your background in the specific field you want to Critique (ex. I've been a RPer for x amount of years, etc.). Just something that would help me understand why you would make a good Critic.

Thanks for bringing this up, I notice I left out some key information. I will edit my sticky accordingly.
