So, Gaia just released some new ...event? items. Moira's wig, Liam's tank, Ruby's bonnet, Rufus's cosplay, Sasha's lei, Edmund's scar, and the SOS picket sign.
I'm curious...which item is your favorite? Which shop is your favorite? Will you be participating? In your opinion, is a 1k donation a fair price for the items, too much, or (god forbid) not enough? And anything else related.

Honestly.... What is the point of this event? Aside from basically mildly wasting money (no offense to anyone participating)?

@Waku - Gaia...made a save the shops event. I guess with their um...computer skillz? Um hm...well, I found out by going to the shops and got this message that gave me a link to the event page...Happened just a few minutes ago for me. Ah here...this event is slowly letting people participate sad @Senryoske - Well, I heard something about Gaia planning on changing the shops up a bit...but, it was vague information. Maybe a redesign is ..approaching or something? sweatdrop

I'm currently hosting a contest in the ATG clan...
It's a gold sink, Senryoske. Admin is trying to take some of the money out of the system to combat deflation I think.
Anyway, I have all the items now. I may use them, I may not, but it's better to just have them on hand. Just go to the shops, donate 1k to each, get a somewhat decent item. 1k isn't that much, sounds like a good deal to me.
...The prize is 5k. Why not swing by and check it out?

Ya know what though...if you're only interested in gaining the items, it might be best to just get them off the market. Some are already going for less than 1k (Well, the Rufus item is more than 1k but, yeah).

There was an error a few weeks ago that caused a gold dump into the economy and this is just to balance it out.

Eh, most of my gold purchases are impulse buys, and this definitely qualified. That said, I don't mind the 1000 gold per item thing; it's not particularly hard to gain that anymore.
*using all the items now*

I like it :3 The items are pretty neat and some of them are stuff I'm pretty sure people have been asking for.

I participate! Though now I feel even better know it helped with that Gaia economy. The prices are ridiculous on the market. gonk

I don't think it matter if you do or don't. There are enough people on gaia that are obsessed with getting whatever items they can that they will donate.

No, I mean, what if the Gaia population as a whole just kind of said, "Shove off."
I wonder if they'd actually follow through and close the shop. Maybe move the various items to other shops...
